I have a build week

I went for a 1.4TDi SEL (105PS) hatch, pacific blue, with heated seats, sunset glass, smartgate, simply clever pack, leather sports wheel + controls, third headrest, front and rear parking sensors, electric rear windows and full size spare wheel.. I ditched the colour concept stuff and black alloys as it was an extra grand which they wouldn't haggle on.. besides every car on tv at the moment seems to be colour concept-like.. they're everywhere!

Do you plan to use Smartgate much? £100 seems a lot just to be able to analyse data from the car to share on Facebook.

  • kind of kept it secret to most of my friends but picked up my new Fabia SE L 1.2 TSI 110 today.   Not driven it much yet, but thoughts are all positive so far

  • Feels different to the last car, but that was a diesel, if I have to be critical the steering feels more artificial in the mk3, it's a lot lighter.   Suspension is a big move forward though, actuall

  • Not a bad deal for a brand new model. I expect I could've done better if I'd waited a while but life's for living.

Remains to be seen, but there is an app which can be installed and used effectively as a car tracker, so if the car ever got stolen - I can pinpoint its position and tell the law enforcement chappies.. which I thought made sense rather than shelling out for a tracker to be fitted.

Oh and Smartgate is only £50 for SEL buyers, it's £100 on the SE model.. (see attachment) don't let the delears convince you it's an error on the website.. as they messed up and tried to charge me £100, I got a full size spare wheel off the price and mudflaps also get fitted on delivery..

How long till the first Smartgate-gate? Car needs a warranty repair but data suggests you have been driving it like you hair is on fire - denied ;)

SE L estate in Corrida Red with rear electric windows, heated seats, variable boot floor and spare wheel.

It replaces a Citigo Elegance which I'll definitely miss.

Nice spec! The Mk3 estate is much better looking than the previous one.

I had a test drive in one, but I don't need the extra space.

Two weeks until my build week.

I was looking at the new Fabia Yesterday. Mirror link won't work with an iphone until  build Week 22. ( so the salesman said )

that's interesting / annoying...

so in laymans terms, they'll be some sort of upgraded mirrorlink fitted at that point?... the iphone-toting missus will be right pee'd off by that (... the curse of the early adopter! think i'll keep that nugget of info to myself!) :/

I would've thought it'd just be a firmware update.

That had also crossed my mind on the way to work this morning lol ... fingers crossed :)

The salesman said it was something to do with Apple, if it's just a software update or a physical piece of equipment within the system he didn't know

then you need certified apps for the iPhone as well

even worse for windows phones, no date at al yet

I would've thought it'd just be a firmware update.

Let's hope so. Wouldn't surprise me if Apple demanded it only in new new cars, or something stupid...

my build week was 23rd feb. its already on its way here!

Mine too!

It was built on the 23rd, and it is undergoing final checks apparently.

5 days old already, they grow up so fast.

My dealer reckons 2-3 weeks for delivery so I'm looking at late March/early April to get my grubby mitts on it.

My hatch build week was 9. Delivery on week 11 or 12. Hoping on next week :)

Picked up our new Fabia 1.2 TSI (SEL) 110 bhp from Mitchells, Ellesmere Port this afternoon.

Topaz brown and came with the free accessory pack (mats, mud flaps and rubber boot liner)

Only a relatively short journey back home (Around 25 miles) but so far very impressed with the ride, quality and spec. of the car.

Showing 44.8 m.p,g. on the Maxidot but this was going up throughout the journey so mid 50's should be relatively easy to achieve.

Although a step up in price on the old model, the new Fabia appears to justify this cost premium.

Those still waiting will not be disappointed I'm sure.

So have you got a 64 plate on this car then?

So have you got a 64 plate on this car then?

If he's picked it up today would it not be a 15 plate, there may be some cars in stock with certain colours/specs rather than factory orders. If I end up buying one I won't be speccing it so would hope they had dealer network stock like most manufacturers.
