Was quite tempted by the Corrida Red, it was between it and Metal Grey, think it looks well in red and there doesn't seem to be many about in that colour, went with Metal Grey in the end though, couldn't convince the wife or my six year old son!!

  • Always was, is and will be RACE BLUE. THE END.

  • I have a white car because: I like white An Australian study showed you are 12% more likely to be involved in an accident in a dark coloured car it reflects the heat from the Australian sun better

  • My mum always said that green was an unlucky colour on cars My next three cars were of course ... green.   Due to the age of cars they were faded green, peeling green and assorted green.

I love the Race Blue, love the Rallye Green, but wasn't sure about resale values and wasn't sure if I could live with it as it's a bit garish, I like the Red too, but again not sure about resale values. Absolutely adore the Metal Grey, looks smart & understated.

Like Black, but it's a pain in the backside to keep clean, White is considered unlucky in our house.

I was in this boat too. I have a Corrida Red mk1 at the moment and I love the colour. However I thought that the mk3 Corrida Red looks a bit plasticcy.

The metal grey looks awesome from what I've seen.

White

Its free of charge

Its robust

It may get dirty quickly but when cleaned looks like new; even if your not that passionate about keeping a car clean/detailing

The last three cars Ive owned have been white, all have been traded looking as good as new bar a few stonechips here and there. Solid red looks quite nice on certain models, particularly the vRS but it will fade in time.

My new one will be race blue , my mk2 Octy was race blue, found a really good detailing combo for it and it looked great , fancied BMP for the Superb since black simply looks great when detailed (but shows the dirt most imo) my mum loved our race blue octy so ordered a blue and white Fabia and I wanted a change after the octy so went for the green on the Fabia

Dont think that green works as well on the Mk3 Octy its too green it needs more black , the white looks great in the hatch but not so in the estate , perhaps with a black pack , sunset glass and wrapped roof it might

Plus two other white cars in the household it had to be Race Blue again , dont care if its common , its common for a reason

Nice to see Ford had the idea of the Black Pack well before Skoda but Ford went the extra mile and added black door handles (ha ha!)

Most popular colours around here are: white, meteor grey, race blue, black... just seen a few silver and metalic grey

Mostly silver around here and one lovely Grey one :)

Corrida red, with black pack and sunroof, would never have even considered red but this was an ex demonstrator and excellent deal, bought without seeing it in metal due to distance garage was and not regretting it one bit, the red and black set it off IMO, love it.

Race Blue is nice....unfortunately it's too nice. Grey is classy but a bit quiet for me. Corrida red good but had that. Chose the green as a bit of a punt. It looks great in the metal and it is a VRS only colour. Seems to look good even without a regular wash. As usual it comes down to personal choice, pocket or whatever was available at the time or as part of a good deal.

Had my carrida red Mk1 VRS for 11 years and only sold her the weekend before last (this photo was taken 2 days before I sold her and not showing a sign of 134000 miles!)

My wife said I needed a change so had to go with a Race Blue TSI (I know it's a configured picture but it's exactly what I've ordered)

That's true. A friend of mine drives a vipergreen Scirocco (very similar colour). Hasn't washed it in ages and it still looks good (from further away. Certainly hides the dirt better than my white one or the VRS in metal grey after a few days :-(

Moon white for me, I love the contrasting Red calipers against it on the VRS.

I do like race blue, but I wanted a less common colour.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk the free non retired version!

Its funny. People go on about 'different' and mention things like yellows etc. Now I have what I assume a totally normal (but gorgeous colour), but amazingly, nobody else ever mentions it, and don't think ive seen another one about. Think its me that's got a 'different' colour!

Pacific Blue.

Suits the car to a 'T'. Doesn't stand out (well actually perhaps it does, but in a different way!!)

I know what colour the rest of my cars are going to be :D

My favourite is green, but we can't get that colour here so I bought moon white. Silver is the worst. I don't think Topaz Brown is rich enough. Renault has a lovely Ardent Brown.

Colour choice is a personal preference. I don't like white cars and yet the vRS with black pack looks great. The race blue for me is now too common and it doesn't suit the mk3 as well as it did the Mk2 (my Blackline in blue with the black wheels really turned heads when clean). My current mk3 is black with the black pack and I think it looks awesome. It doesn't turn heads or stand out like the Blackline did, but I love the stealthy look to it.

That said, the green does look amazing on the vRS.

Mine is coming in Pacific blue too, saw the one at the dealers, that turned up wrong, and as we drove away we had the conversation about changing the colour before they reordered.... But both were happy with the colour (though wife did say she liked the metal grey)

I think my favourite colour is metallic blackberry, was Audi, then VW (made it to vans a couple of years back) but dnot think it's made it to Skoda yet

Sorry, pea roast :-(

Oh now you've spoilt it. I liked my 'normal' but different colour!

I thought I stood out for looking a boring old fart. But now there are two of us boring old farts :D

Nearly... Not got mine yet, but off choosing tartan rugs and trilbys at the weekend :-D

Mines White, Looked at a Yellow one but the shape doesn't suit Yellow. Now a Yellow MKII, thats a different story

I have a yellow mkII Which i think really was the best colour for it. Saw a yellow mkIII yesterday and thought oh dear. Very strange how a cars looks can be influenced so much by the colour.

My mkIII, on order, is in rallye green. Again the best colour, obviously

Nearly... Not got mine yet, but off choosing tartan rugs and trilbys at the weekend :-D

A tartan rug, now that's a plan!

Mine was the resprayed pacific blue car. I liked the colour but when I took ownership i found it had major flaws in the paint. Car rejected.

I like metal grey now....

Mine is Red but I didn't want the black pack, even with the sunroof. I like it. Probably an age thing. ;)
