ordered second week of November...  delivery date was going to be mid-Feb until i asked to have this put off until 1st March for a 16 plate.  I'm getting it thursday all being well.  .. so would have been about 12-13 weeks lead time or thereabouts.

Interesting...I ordered mine on 3/12/15, no news of any build date yet! At what point did you get a delivery date? Cheers

I'll let you know if I ever get mine!!!! Well, the front diff would certainly limit the possibility.

Thats what I meant, does the diff work. It would probably be even better test on a tuned one, with over 300bhp.

I'm sure that the new diff will provide better traction through corners, but you need AWD to prevent wheel-spin.

Phone call from skoda today about missing roofrail saga

They would like to offer £250 of skoda credit to spend in the network as a gesture of goodwill for no roof rails.

This will nicely go towards the smart link code when released !

I too have one one few 230 estates without the roof rails, and like you Skoda gave me £250 voucher to spend in the network. This was fine, as also like you I prefer the car without the rails and I spent the voucher on the rubber boot mat, and SmartLink (with some change left over).

However, I have now come to buy the fitting kit for my Thule bars presuming the hatch ones would fit, but have noticed there are no 'locator' holes under the roof line behind the front doors.

So, dilemma...what do I do? Buy the kit for the hatch and dremel off the locator pin or go back to Skoda and see what they can offer? I would prefer to use my Thule bars, but not sure if there are any other differences in the contour of the hatch and estate roofs that may render my 'dremel bodge' useless anyway.

MIne turned up without the rails, but I had them fitted by the dealer as they are an essential item to me. If they had not have fitted the rails I would have been looking at the markets where the non roof rail versions are sold and looking at the recommendations for roof bars suggested for this market by Thule.

well jel!!! Who did you order through dealer or broker??  Mine was due this month but my broker screwed up and only just told me it was not honoured by their distributors!!!  Not happy!!  But this is the colour I was expecting!! Looks fab!!

dealer, very straightforward, no problems. you must be gutted, i feel for you - maybe see if theres a dealer demo in the network somewhere that you could get a deal on, save waiting for a new order all over again?

Totally gutted, yes....have found some pre-reg'd ones but defo wanted canton and kessy, which they dont have....have found a dealer who has done me a good cash deal so probably going to order today and wait another 3 months!! Arghhhh...one consolation, hopefully the weather will be better then!!  Yes, loads of snow due overnight here up in Yorkshire!!  Enjoy the ride, and lets have a review shortly.  ;-)

Its essentially haldex on the front axles from what I understand.
