Well, only 2 weeks ago. It was already in the country though.

I was going to order brand new, however there was one idetical to the spec I wanted in Carlisle and it also meant I saved about 4k on it, so went with this one in the end.

The car is at Skoda Mitchells in Cheshire Oaks now, but picking up Tuesday

Wifey had a little Accident. and am going to get it repaired but want the correct paint code to ensure they all match been quoted £128 including the diamond cutting on the face by Lepsons in Kent

i know it won't make any difference but at least i'll be able to say "I told you so.."

I thought my 230 looked a bit naff with shiny silver badges on the back..  previous vRS's have both been debadged but i sort of like the funky new script that the mk3 has.. just not shiny.  the 230 has matt black exhaust tips to i thought i'd do the badges to match:

Just waiting on delivery of my red 230 estate. I know it was in the UK 10 days ago, just need it to hurry along to the dealers now!

Getting it as a replacement for my current Jag XF Sportbrake - lovely car, but the VRS will be £150 a month cheaper, and a fair bit quicker - only 30 bhp more than the jag, but 400kg lighter!!!

It was a stock vehicle, so only placed the order 10 days ago. However, 30 months ago I tried to order a VRS TDI estate and still had no build date after 6 months...

The plasti coat is applied to the badges whilst still fixed to the car. Just mask area off, spray on, peel off, job done!

Wow, the move from Jaguar to Skoda must be unusual.

I've driven my Superb to a Jag dealer, had a test drive in a diesel XF, returned home in the Superb without feeling that I should buy

the XF.

 

Did something similar this week, did a back to back comparison between a Superb 280 & a vRS 230, both brand new black estates &

I think that I now want to own a red vRS 230 hatch!

 

Trouble is, SWMBO preferred the 280............

Only 4 colours. I couldnt even order grey stitching. My dealer gave it a go, but factory said no.

I tried to get the dealer to order one in blue, they couldn't. White, red, black or grey were the only choices. 

There was a thread a while back someone wanted something(can't remember what) that wasn't allowed on uk spec. Skoda UK said no. They contacted Skoda Factory and were told yes no problem. So you wonder who makes the rules. Probably some market researcher, like supermarkets.They say there's no demand for an item. But if its not there, how do they know.I have Rallye Green now which I love, but no point changing for the same colour, so would probably go for the Corina Red (the bright one).

I've had a really good PCP offer for a red hatch from a dealer oop north & I'm seriously tempted........... 

 

I suspect that the fuel consumption will be worse than my Superb, (34 mpg overall) but hopefully not too much more than the old girl!
