Wonder if the configurator has a sister, could be popular going down as often as it does.

  • Well here she is !  Over the moon with it.   Missing roof rails though and have been told that they should have been there and to await a bulletin from skoda about them ( mind you i like it without

Yes you can get them

VRS 230 red graphic ZGB5E0071526A £6.25 +VAT

vRS230 black graphic ZGB5E0071526B £6.25+VAT

Thanks buddy, I might just....

My comment was 30k for a nearly new 230 seems a bit expensive to me..... Thought it was a pretty easy comment to understand and your response seems to confirm it as well.

You could also get it brand new from drive the deal for less than 30k.

Wrong comment, I was replying to post no. 672 from "pipsypreturns" which was basically blank....

I understood your comment, which is valid, especially as the Listers car would sell for £33865 at list.

You'd be selling yourself short as your DTUK'd vRS would be more like 270-300

I would rather buy a new 220 than that.

What's 10 brake in the grand scheme of things.

I doubt people buy these cars for the extra 10 horses...I sure didn't!!! The front diff was the main selling factor for me, plus all the extras you get on top of a standard 220 makes it a no brainer! I paid the same price as above for a brand new one! :-)

The fact they market it as having an extra 10bhp seems a bit silly to me... my mate had one of the first 220hp vrs and that dyno'd at 240hp back in October! and on a set of reliable rollers too.

Maybe the 230 one has more power still :o

I would buy it for the LSD and extra options rather than the power hike personally

I think the problem with this car is its name. People are focusing on the "230" part and questioning whether it's worth it.

I think if Skoda had named it the vRS-S/SE for example, people wouldn't question it's value just quite so much.

vRS+ mmmm

If I could have got the 230 on the 0% when ordering mine then I would have gone for it. Like others have said it's the extra spec and diff not the 10 bhp

Fair one.

Seems strange to just give it an extra 10bhp though.

That's probably Skoda doing all that VW will allow.

It's all part of the marketing plan

The vRS230 is a good car you got to forget about the 230 BHP engine and buy it for spec over the standard vRS and the diff the 230 gets.

At sometimes they will put the 280 BHP TSI in the octy and hopefully at will be 4x4 but not to facelift time for the MK3 or maybe at the end of the MK3 life as a special edition at the end of the day skoda can only do what Vw will allow them to make

I think the main problem for us on PCP deals is that a 220 is on 0% and the 230 is on 4%.i have just ordered a replacement for my 220 and speced up to the 230 except for leather seats. Price difference minimal but add in the 4% the 230 was another £100 a month. Really couldn't justify the extra cost

I had same problem too, rules the 230 out for me

I just want to throw this one out there re the 230.

Do you need the space of the Octavia? If not, then why not consider the Audi S3 or Golf R? If buying on a PCP then due to their higher residual values these may actually work out a lot cheaper to run.

Or if you want the space, how about the Seat Leon Cupra ST? 280 or 290 but only FWD.

And of course, the Golf R is now available as an estate as well.

Just some food for thought.

Trouble is, we want the leather memory seats, & once you include all the extra toys from the 230 onto your 220, then the 230 is cheaper to buy.

I don't intend to use a PCP, just buy the car with money, so choosing the 230 over the specced-up 220 is a no-brainer.

But I hate the "Extreme" wheels............
