Hi All - Newbie Alert

Hi all,

I'm thinking of swapping my Impreza for a 'Tavia RS. Who else has followed this route and who would you advise for tunning and parts in the North of England?

Thanks

Steve

Welcome Steve.

Plenty here have done just that, I will leave it for them to reply. Prob tomorrow night though as today is the briskoda.net national meet.

.....for those who were able to and not left behind:(

Andy

oh yes....welcome m8.

Welcome to Briskoda, Steve! This site is littered with countless ex-Scooby owners who spend all their time debating which colour to buy and whether to Scotchguard their mats and upholstery or not. Quite a few talk about tuning and the odd one or 2 seem forever to need new parts for the ones they broke testing their cars to destruction. I guess they are all happy with their purchases since few if any go back to a Scoob. Meanwhile the rest of us just look on in bemusement. thinks.gif

Ah... Scooby=Subaru.

I was embarrassed to ask what it meant.

Welcome Steve - As Manny said, most of the petrol heads are burning it up at the National meet, but some of us have to work for a living, give it a week to get it out of their system, and all your questions will be answered. again welcome onboard

yes, Scooby Doo

Subaru

Colleage @ work just bought brand new scooby, with Pro-pack

360bhp or something!!!!

but then again it could mean xr2 not that i have or would ever like to have one think i will stick with the fabia for a while

WElcome to Briskoda mate. All your answers will be answered once the weekend is over I'm sure.

Steve, I've replied to your mail.

Yes there are a lot of ex-scoob owners on here along with afew potential ones. Quite a few on here seem to have done the Scoob thing and seem happy with the change. IIRC there was actually a thread about who's had a scoob.

Steve,

I used to have a STI 3 & no money in the Bank

I've now got An Octy 4x4, lowered, re-mapped, Big Brakes, KW suspension, a bloody great smile on my face, a reliable car (the Scoob wasnt !!!!), a car that can regularly return around 30 mpg (Scoob couldnt achieve 20 & needed Octane booster, A car with German build quality, Dealers who know what they are doing, Oh and Money in the Bank & if you are really power mad they can SAFELY run 350 bhp on standard internals, try doing that with a Scoob

So you can guess what I am saying !!!!!!!!!

When the Subaru first came out that's what it was called, Super Barrow, until the Impreza was born I might add!

Welcome to Briskoda

You will find much information on here regarding the suitable upgrades that can be done at fairly reasonable cost....but be warned --- it's a slippery slope

I think we should rename the whole 'My Maintenance' 'My Performance' 'My ICE' 'My Styling' thing 'Slippery Slope' and have done with it.

I can't comment on the merits of the Impreza, having never owned one, but i was tailgated by one across the M62 on sunday coming back from the national meet.

I let the idiot pass (until Jabba Day i know my place) content in the knowledge that i was cruising along at a decent speed and still getting pretty good MPG, while MrScoob was probably due for a fuel stop in the next 10 minutes :D

i'm still a very happy scooby owner.

:D

So was I, but then I grew up / got old ;)

Steve, go to the PM page and always select 'show last 2 days' then you'll see any PM you might have - a quirk I think
