Car looks great, you can see why there has been a lot of interest.

Have you started the plate transfer with the DVLA yet?

Yes. Theyve changed the price of putting the plate on retention now, I was going to wait until I got the superb and transfer it across, but I've sent off the paperwork to put it on retention as it costs the same now. Should be done in a couple of weeks!

Thanks Ste. Kind words bud. As soon as my foot is fixed I will be all over it. And Clarkey666 has offered to help me out as it is a right team bus! Which I will of course accept because he's bloody handy with a DA. Only person to have touched my cars other than me over the last 10 years.

Must admit, having to sell the vRS has taken the shine off buying a new car.

Fully understand buddy - lovely big bus i'm sure - we looked at the Superb for the missus last year;

but i think she is going to take the R36 off me when i finally upgrade...

The Superb is in good hands with Clarkey666 - he took a drive upto mine last year - top bloke

If you need anything or plan a full on detailing day - then give me a shout - happy to help! :)

All the best with the sale - looks in great condition and that product combo looks to work really well on silver

Noticed the same on plate transfer BTW - £80 flat rate now, whether you're transferring directly to another car or retaining. Saves you the extra £25 it used to cost to retain :)

Thanks buddy. That sounds awesome but I'm a little tucked out of the way.

Clarkeys a good mate of mine, we used to work together and he works over near me so he comes around for a home cooked dinner once in a while. Great lad, although I don't want to give him a big head.

I think I took it to a whole new level today; cleaning the car while on crutches. I was hopping around that car with two buckets in my hand. Left leg got a good work out but the neighbours think I am completely barking mad!

Thanks Wardy. Yes, I was over the moon when I found out. It's right up there with the news that lorrys can do 50mph on single carriage roads now. £25 is a decent saving!

Good luck with the sale, it looks great. Speedy recovery on the foot, BTW are you using a sealant on the plaster, always best for white IMO :giggle: (sorry)

Yes mate. Sealant all the way on white! Haha.

Thanks buddy

Always helps to sell a car if it's cleaned and polished, yet many people don't.   Your car looks smart, I hope you get a smooth sale.

Good one

Great result - proof that looking after it and making it shine pays dividends in the long run :)

Well done

It did look good though.

It certainly does. Jabbasport thought I was co.pletely mad selling it at the price I have. But it's been sold to its first viewer in one week after advertising it on here, with three more viewing booked over the weekend!

All in all. A decent result. I still feel a little sick that it's going. But Brian at Jabbasport congratulated me on my choice of replacement. Decent engine and gearbox! Happy with that!!

Sold it to the first viewer. Happy but gutted at the same time. At least i can sell it knowing someone is getting an absolute belter!

Nice one Neil - glad the sale went quickly and smoothly buddy!

Thanks Ste. In all honesty, I still cannot believe how quickly it sold. But tge condition and price helped massively

Hey Hunty, sorry to see you selling up a car that you clearly have put a lot of love and attention into.

Can I ask which Superb you have gone for?  I am finally about to start the process of tinkering with mine.  There is a lot to like about the 'Perb and against most conventional wisdom I think one could be modified to be plenty capable and fun.

Thanks Sparkly.

Of course bud, I've gone for a 2011 2.0TDI DSG Estate 170bhp. I saw one for sale in the classifieds which had been modified and it looked fantastic. Damo was the owner I believe. I agree, as a sleeper they would be great and with their strong engine line up, would be great fun. Can't wait to pick mine up tomorrow.

Yep, that's a whole lot of motor you have right there, even just a cheeky stage 1 Map and it will be a surprise package too for pace.

I was in Jabbasport yesterday and Brian and Carol were saying "We've got a really good map for that!" I think we are keeping it standard though. This one will be pulling a caravan so don't want to overstrain the engine. Not that it would, but better to be safe than sorry.

Never say never though!!! Haha.

One could argue that extra torque is almost necessary for safer more economical towing ;)

Never say never indeed :D
