PLEASE HELP! LONG CODING FOR BRAKE CONTROL MODULE LOST

Featured Replies

My skoda superb 4x4 was sitting for a few days and when i went to start it the battery was flat so i put the jump leads on and started it.

got into car and esp, abs, parking brake lights all flashing.

went to mechanic to be told that the brake control module has lost its coding and he couldn't do anything with it.

i have phoned numerous stealerships that are all saying that i have prob fried my brake control module price tag somewhere round £1500.

i have done some research and found that quite a few people have had similar problems and where able to input a similar cars code and adjust it according to the options list on thier car.

if anyone can help be i would greatly appreciate it.

the particulars are the long coding in the brake control module is reading a line of zeros

my car is a 2009 skoda superb 4x4 elegance 170bhp if anyone has a similar car or the code off one i think i can use that code (if even just as a base to start with)

or if anyone can work out the coding for me that would be even better?

Moved - hopefully into the correct sub section?

I am not saying this is your solution but when I had a flat battery all my lights come on when jump leads were used (VW recovery) the guy said just drive it and they will stop within a couple of minutes. They did.

thanks! this is the coding i have already tried but i think it isn't working because my car is the manual 4x4 version and its not accepting the new code.

the problem is that i know its only a case of entering the new coding and my main skoda dealership could probably do it online through the online svm system however while i was making the appointment to go in they where already talking about having to replace the brake control module.

if anyone can work out how to change this coding to suit my car or has any other ideas that would be great

again thanks

If you are using VCDS you could try contacting Ross Tech.

I have always found them very helpful

if you have an old scan log from the car, IIRC the current coding at the time is shown on that.

heres an update for you guys went to skoda today and got the right number for the abs pump however they said the unit was fried and i have now been given the task of getting a second hand abs pump and using the coding provided by skoda to get it going again.

this is the part number and i am having trouble locating an exact match.

3t0614517 d         the closest match i can find is on ebay but the letter at the end is missingdo you think this would make a difference??

thanks for all your input on this
