**NOW SOLD** 2011 “11” Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI DSG Estate – Black Magic

Unfortunately the time has come for me to put my vRS up for sale. This has not been an easy decision but I am wanting to cut my hours and go back to studying so sadly she has to find a new home.

 

This has been the best car that I have ever owned by a long shot and puts a smile on my face every single time. The power delivery and gear changes in “D” are so smooth and she can cruise all day long but she becomes a monster in “S” mode which will have you grinning from ear to ear. This was my first DSG car and it will definitely be something I look for on my next car.

 

I bought my vRS from the Sinclair Skoda dealership in Swansea which is also the original supplying dealer, and went to pick her up on the 8th of December 2013 when she had 36,438 miles on the clock. This car used to belong to another member on Briskoda and it was after speaking to him that I decided to go for it.

 

Just before I picked her up the dealers carried out a service as well as a DSG gearbox oil change. She has a full Skoda main dealer service history and the next service is due in 1,400 miles or 223 days as of today. She also passed MOT last month with one advisory of car seat fitted so they couldn't check all seat belts.

 

Current miles as of today are 64,145 but this will rise as I use the car daily.

 

Service History;

Car is set on the Fixed servicing which is each 10,000 miles or yearly. The last service that was carried out was a full major service including spark plugs.

Extended Warranty;

I decided not to extend the warranty with Skoda but instead with Warranty Wise. Details of this plan below;

• Upgraded 04/40 level of cover which is all mechanical, all electrical and all electronical cover.

• Labour rate was set to £200 per hour inc VAT.

• Single repair limit of £8000.

• Unlimited number of repairs up to the retail value of the vehicle.

• Voluntary contribution is set at £100.

• 37 month plan which started on the 21st of October 2014.

• Fully transferable to new owner.

I get between 280 to 320 miles on a tank on average and have only used Tesco 99 fuel since owning the car. My average mpg is between 27 and 29 on runs to work and 32-35 on long motorway runs.

• Tax is £225 per year.

• Installed new firmware and maps on Columbus Sat Nav – Now on software 4120 and maps version 8117 (also known as V11) (Map release date of January 2014)

• Shark Performance Stage 1 remap – 245.9 bhp and 401.0 Nm of torque – January 2015

• Shark Performance DSG gearbox remap – January 2015

• Before the Shark Performance remap I had the Shark boys change the Chain Tensioner and parts to the latest revisions to reduce risk of the timing chain slipping and causing issues – January 2015;

Price:

This is a difficult one as I realise a “modified” car isn't for everyone, so I have decided to offer two options;

• For the car as is with Shark remap, Shark STS unit, R32 big brakes and VW Racing high flow air filter I am looking for £10,850 ono. I feel with the options and rarity of this particular model (still in great condition) this will be a great buy for someone.

• The other option will be for me to put the car back to standard so remove the map, brakes and air filter and not include the STS unit for £10,350 ono.

 

I’d love for her to stay in the Briskoda family where I’ll know she’s being taken care of so offering here first and if not sold in a few weeks I will advertise elsewhere as well.

 

Viewings will be welcomed – and test drives with proof of insurance are welcome as well. I am based in Gravesend during the day (DA11) and in Chatham (ME5) after 6pm during the week – Weekends I am either at home (ME5) or at my parents (ME12) so can arrange whatever is easiest.

Yes this is probably the same one Adam, I have never seen such a well equipped Octavia, its probably easier to list what common options it doesn't have (sunroof and MDI are the only ones that instantly spring to mind)

Not sure I will change or update anything as it already has everything I would want. Yes Karl, I have considered colour coding the grille but I have not fully made my mind up yet, I keep looking at the silver roof rails, thinking if the grille is black, so should the rails. I guess I would have no shortage of volunteers for a roof rail swap should I go down this route!
