These are the tracks/dates from this year.

I expect next year will be broadly similar.

It's mostly concentrated in the South half of the country, which suits me fine! :)

Oulton Park, a belter of a circuit!

Spa too? Excellent!

Very exciting. I bet spa is amazing. Well it is on the playstation.

You'd like Knockhill really; it's like a condensed version of Spa, which means you're not going to rev out in top twice per lap.

All coming together nicely, my offer still stands.

I really hope we can persuade him to come up and run at Knockhill - I really want to see some of the fleet!

That's very much my point; the straights at Spa are so long that a Fester will rev out but that's not an issue at Knockhill, but the challenge of the corners and elevation changes is still there.

Spa is:

Next year.

Not sure if I can go.

Only for license A holders so need to do a number of races first...

Oooh Donington, only a 30 min drive for me. May pop along

All the best with this Richard; exciting times :)

Hopefully I'll see you at Oulton Park then

You also need to allow £2,000 as a one off cost to get your National B Racing License, helmet, overall, HANS device, boots, gloves, undergarments etc...

I cannot wait to see these cars.

£2000 for Undergarments! Didn't know it was that scary.

If it wasn't for the curse of single-class racing you'd be able to get on 2 or 3 grids in an SMRC meeting.

If doing the CSCC Tin Tops I can do the Millenium Series at the same meetings.

But I want to get out there first. :)

Just caught up with this after seeing it on FB first.

Looks like a good step up and not to crazy, which is unlike you.

Competitive racing with everybody using the same car - still think you should have done ten FGF's and a Brisky racing team but hey ho!

Shame - I would have put my name down :)

Booked my ARDS test.

Can't believe how few slots there are.

Monday 22nd June is the day, right after the Brisky National. :)

Do you need to have any training before doing this?

Or is it just turn up and learn/test like a CBT style thing?

It's recommended that you buy the "Go Racing" pack from the RAC MSA before doing an ARDS test. It will tell you stuff like about getting your medical done, and includes an instructional DVD.

I can see why the ST makes a really good base to start with. Even as a standard road car they are leagues ahead of everything else in its class.

No they ain't they are rather sluggish when compared to any other hot hatch.

Clio 172/182 blow them to bits, a 1.6l 106 gti will muller it

Even a simple remapped mark 1 fabia vrs will abliterate it (in a straight line of course)

They are not quick in the slightest

Its a 2.0l engine with 147bhp (rather underwhelming)

Compare it to an ep3 type r for example. 197bhp from 2.0l
