Coding with VCDS - central electrics

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I have just fitted a towbar to my 2011 MY Superb II SE and have successfully coded it to disable the reverse sensors and activate the alarm when disconnected etc. Whilst I was poking around with VCDS I also managed to get rain sensitive wipers and rain closure working with a little help from these forums :thumbup: . I would also like to program the passenger mirror to adjust down to the kerb when I select reverse but the only instructions I can find are for a Octavia III and my Superb will not accept the security code (31347) to gain access to the central electrics. Does anyone know what the code would be for security access to the central electrics of my car please as I presume the procedure will be very similar to the Octavia?

Thank you

Do you have memory seats? The "mirror-tilt-on-reverse" is only possible if you have the memory seat option.

HERE an overview of possible VCDS adjustments (in German), HERE in English using Google Translate.

HERE you find the Briskoda list of things you can do.

Things to remember;

1. Only official VCDS can use "security code" changes, I tested this with my own car, when I wanted to do the "Electric boot mod" I couldn't get into the controller using the security code with a fake Vagcom, only with my own genuine RossTech cable.

2. ALWAYS DO AN AUTOSCAN, or at least write down the original coding before you change anything!

3. Don't expect miracles. I've seen cars with the same spec, same build week, but I could only enable something in one, not the other. Just because someone sais you can on the internet, doesn't make it so!

I've activated the dipping mirror and didn't need to use a security code. If you got to the Passenger Door Electrics, and look at the coding there, there's the option to activate and then select 'memory mirror' or something to that effect. If memory serves me correct, there's also a third option relating to electric memory seats which i don't have so left well alone. I think there may also be an option in the coding on Central Electrics but i can't remember? Then select 'L' on your mirror adjustment switch. Mine doesn't always go back to the exact same position (it's better now i selected mirror memory), but it works fine otherwise - i tend to activate when i need it and leave off at other times.

So it is possible to activate without memory seat?

I coded the two mirror options (dipping and memory I think they were) but the instructions I followed said to also gain security access to the central electronics and set access control to active in the adaption menu.

I'll give it another go but I would still be grateful if someone knew the code so I can have a poke around in central electronics. :-)

Cheers

Thanks MarkTB, your comment "I think there may also be an option in the coding on Central Electrics" sorted it. There was another option for dipping mirror in there, I enabled it and its now all working as I expected.

Nice one! Thank you. :-D
