It's actually magnetic brown, but looks black in low light. It was a toss between the black and brown for me, but my 6-year-old daughter preferred the brown. She made a good choice!

I also ordered Magnetic Brown L&K  on December 2015. going to arrive to port on June 25th . 28 weeks plus customs clearance and other things  making 29 weeks to wait.

I think its long but worth the wait.

    Car has arrived @ grimsby

So after 7 long months of waiting finally my superb 2.0tdi se business estate has been delivered to me!! So far I can't fault anything with the car (in the 15 miles I have done) I will post some pictures in the other thread when the rain finally has a rest.

Nearly 5 weeks in and still do not have an estimated delivery date or even a build date.

ordered on PCH through a local dealer.

Mine is now in Transit.

Expected to hit shore on the 12th July.

Add custom and transit to Mid North Coast, plus prep work and we should have it by end of July.

Superb was ordered on the 11th of April.

Yep very poor. I'm pushing for the TV tuner - it was £800 as an option in lower trim levels - they can't just take away £800 of kit without letting the customer know!

An update on the MY17 change of spec in the L&K - Skoda UK have agreed to honour the original order I placed and build me a MY17 car with the TV tuner that was originally part of the spec in MY16 and is now an option only. The even better news is that, as it's only available with the rear parking camera and the electric retractable parcel shelf now, I will get those too even though I didn't originally spec them - all with no extra cost to me - result!!

If anyone else is in the same position, the reason why they honoured this was that they sent a letter to all leasing companies saying that they would honour all orders received before 1st May - mine was placed on the 28th April..... I'd suggest you take it up with your dealer if you're in the same boat and don't take their first answer if it's like the one I got (a big fat "nothing we can do").

Really chuffed to hear some good news from Skoda.

There's a business grey 190 L&K 4x4 hatch demo car out there with tv and rear camera waiting for a buyer.

Good news for you glad you got a good outcome! Sadly my order was 9th May so guess I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Never mind - I'll be happy if I get a car full stop at the moment :)

I think Skoda have acted very reasonably with what was, in reality, the dealer's error in not informing me of the changes at time of order.

This shows that they are prepared to do the right thing by their customers when they are made aware of a problem even if it wasn't of their making.... I think those NCD customers who are approaching Skoda direct are maybe in with a chance of getting something out of the situation... Even if it is just getting a priority put on any re-orders from those affected so that their cars ship sooner than otherwise.

Finally pick up Yesterday after 7 month wait. It's 1.4 dsg Style trim (don't know what trim it's In Uk) with a lot of options. But it has been worth the wait

That's you opinion Toonaroond not mine buddy

Out of interest, how long is it taking on average from the car being built to taking delivery? Mine should have been built this week (22) so wondering when to expect delivery. I'm guessing about 4 to 6 weeks from now?

It all depends on the variant choice and options. 7 to 21 weeks seems to be the norm.

I've been quoted 14 weeks on my present order.

My car was built week 17 and I took delivery week 21. So 4-6 weeks is a reasonable guess.

That's very quick. Well done, enjoy :)

Thanks - from build to delivery was reasonably quick. But it was a 13 week wait for it to be built, so 17 weeks altogether.

After the debacle with NCD it's come as a pleasant surprise that I've been able to order a car direct with my local dealership with a price that isn't that far away from the brokers. Deal struck this morning.

2.0l 220PS DSG L & K Estate

Moon white with brown leather (must have changed my mind half a dozen times deciding between moon and candy white)

19" Anthracite Phoenix

Pan roof

Spare wheel

Smart light assist.

Been told it will arrive in August, I'll believe that when I see it going by other lead times I've read on here.

I'm not finding the Skoda dealers so accommodating, even through carwow. The discounts offered on an 1.4 TSI Act estate SE with approx. 3k of options are between £1500 and £1900. Skoda is currently offering £1500 + additional £500 for orders placed before 30th June on PCP so anything less than £2k isn't a discount.  Trouble with Carwow is that you only get the first 5 quotes so dealers effectively block better quotes by offering poor deals.

For these prices I can get a factory fresh Mondeo 1.5 ecoboost Titanium X estate in metallic from my local Ford dealer, standard spec includes dynamic LED headlights, Nav, Full leather sports seats, virtual dash. Park assist (£150) and including a remote control parking heater (£300). parking heater seems a steal! They've even fixed the dash with sync 3 so it looks more Germanic than earlier button fests.

Broadspeed and Carfile are a little cheaper than carwow, drive the deal more expensive and orange wheels nowhere,  Ford is currently looking the best deal now as at least one other dealer even beat the NCD price.

Any other options for a private buyer to get a good deal Skoda?

Have you tried this forum's reccomended Dennis Horton in Lincoln?

On a pcp I got the dealer £2k deposit contribution plus a 6% discount on the price, to give you an idea.

Have a quote from Paul Miller at Hortons, did offer some discount over the Skoda UK offers, though approx. £1k more expensive than carfile and broadspeed.

Sadly you have to maximise the discount when the majority of sales go to fleets with their massive discounts, which are then offloaded back through the dealers to private customers with 1-3 years of usage. Shame the whole process isn't more transparent.

Really pleased you've got what you wanted. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a speedy delivery for you.

Checking on the lease company's order checking website, I can see mine has now been allocated a number plate. Speaking to them, this means they will usually be in touch in the next day or so to arrange delivery- car ordered 2nd or 3rd March- so just under 13 weeks from order to now. Trouble is the old car is still in the body shop being tarted up before it goes back off lease- and I can't take delivery of the new one until it's ready...

Got an update my car was built and shipped on 2 june and should be here by the end of the week.

Order date was ~2 january.

I placed an order yesterday with my local dealer (Superb Estate 2.0TSI 220ps DSG L&K, petrol blue + black leather, smart light assist, heated washers, spare wheel) and was told beginning of September for delivery -- TBC when the order is entered into the factory system. Went for PCH because new employer will be paying me a cash allowance, local dealer was actually slightly cheaper than leasing company -- maybe because as the supplier and PCH arranger and service/tyre supplier they can accept a little bit less margin?
