What did you do to your bike today?

Featured Replies

Got to admit striple while I personally have no axe to grind with you, the majority of your posts come across very provocatively.

Its water off a ducks back to me as I'm sure you're a top bloke but a bit more sensitivity to other peoples opinions wouldn't hurt.

I for one love some banter in forums but if someone spoke to me face to face like you do on here they'd be sitting on the floor.

Striple I see you either missed the bit I have highlighted above or are just ignoring it. If it wasn't clear to you I will say again that although your head may well stay on one piece other injuries on your body may well prove to be life threatening. So having your super dooper helmet may not make any difference.

Truth be told I am tired of the constant arguing from you with all and any posts on here so I will let you do your thing and in future I will do my own but I shall refrain from commenting on anything you have posted as I just don't see the point.

To the rest of you Guys who post in here I apologise for this but I don't come onto a forum for pointless arguments so I won't be contributing as much in here.

Hey Chris, stick with it. I for one enjoy your posts, you sound like one of us. Dont give striple the satisfaction of stopping your valuable involvement. Just ignore his wind ups.

We've all told him what we think so hopefully he will calm it down.

Cheers

So another day and a whole new start to the World.

Striple has sent me a pm which I have replied to.  I think this all got out of hand yesterday and I would like us to return to what we do best chatting about the bikes and what we do.  There really isn't any need for any of us to fall out and I would love the bickering to stop from all sides.

I would also like to say I mention the fact that I used to be a Policeman not to impress but to show that I do have 'some' knowledge much the same as a mechanic would maybe.  I am nothing special and I don't expect everyone to share my views.  Forums are based on discussion and that can be quite robust at times as long as it doesn't descend into name calling and abusive or rude comments.

So please can we just move on (all of us) and get back onto topic.  I wouldn't want this little corner to be closed down by Colin because we can't behave.

The 'manage ignore prefs' option can be your friend..... ;)

Deciding whether to go for a ride.

Itll he dark by the time ive had tea though. Hmm.

Out on mine tomorrow to Lincoln to see the Vulcan do a fly past at the Bomber Command Memorial.  Traffic will be crazy around there so on the bike is easier and I can park at a fellow RATS and walk across the road to take some pictures.

Happy days.

Nothing like rolling 2 hobbies into one eh! Haha.

Really noticing the the night drawing in now, and the clocks go back sunday. Not happy about that tbh :(

Tell me about it. Mornings are really dark now - the auto lights on the dash are permanently on now and on the way home the sun is just about setting.

Chris try and get some pictures of the old girl flying ? Love to see it.

Certainly will also on Sunday at Coningsby as she is there  believe for the LLA (Lincolnshore Lancaster Association) day.  Been to Coningsby today taking pictures of Typhoon display pilot strutting his stuff a few of the Tornado, Typhoon and AWACS.

Thing is I have loads of time on my hands now and just bought a new camera so be daft not to use it.

What camera have you bought mate? (:

Panasonic Lumix FZ200.  It is a bridge camera because that way it is easier for the wife to use and I don't have to mess about with lenses.  It can get better pictures than my DSLR did with it's 200 mm lens.

Thats brilliant!

Im all for bridge cameras tbh. Ive just got a Sony Hx50 (i think its a 50) after i sold my nex5. Smaller cameras do everything i need without the faf. Especially if youre carrying it on the bike..

It does distance quite well.  How far away is this?

Put the bike away as we are off on hols tomoz. Long overdue !

I didn't do anything to my bike as I haven't got 1 but I did test ride 2 triumphs and a Beemer today in the sunshine :sun:  :sun:

Oh, which ones?

So which did you decide on Ade?

I went out on mine to see the Vulcan.  Took some pictures but it was too far away and they are crap!  Maybe closer on Sunday at Coningsby.

I tried the Harley Street 750 last weekend and liked it a lot.
