  • Put the wet weather kit on and went and did my Advanced Test.... and passed

  • You're right, I've just undone one and the lip on the pipe extrudes out of the block so it's pressing against that.

  • Finished! That's 2016 done.

I think it's the battery as its losing it charge when not running. No problems when running. I have a spare rectifier anyway just in case.

Happy days (: should be easy enough then (:

Load of the RATS from here went on the TTTW yesterday accompanied by many other.  Either 7100 or 6100 whichever thread you read but nonetheless a great ride out for all you guys that could make it. Sadly I couldn't so maybe next year.

Saw a group yesterday on the M42 north. It was just one group and I've never seen so many bikes - I reckon 3 miles worth in all 3 lanes. Very very impressive.

Went for a ride to go n see some grass track racing, then a bike shop, then stopped off on the cat but a boring bloke kept talking to me, so i didnt stay long n came home haha

The queues getting out afterwards were hell. Quite a few bikes overheating and unfortunately I saw a white VFR go up in flames as the owner tried to put it out with carrier bags of water. I've never seen so many bikes in one place. The pic below is just one of the bike parks.

Feckin vfrs ;).

Mine runs hot tbh. Gets very hot in traffic, but the fan soon cools it when it gets up to 107 degrees.

Did somebodys fan not work? Haha

sunday,

we had a ride up to alston hartside cafe cup of tea and back again.loads of car clubs up there that day also car park was full of bikes seen some people from my village i have not seen in ages.

Erm a cup of tea?  I think if you check the rules you will find you 'have' to have cake as well!

As tomorrow looks like it is going to be nice again a few of the RATS have organised a mini ride out and that will certainly involve at least one cake emporium.

Ahaha. Brill.

Whats your favourite cake chris?

There is no such thing as bad cake!  Just some is better than others but the bestest has to be carrot cake and we have been know to ride from Lincolnshire to Whitby just to get some.  Only a couple of hundred miles or so.

Ahh noo. Not carrot cake! Haha.

Ive been craving some coffee cake for the past few days. Hmm.

With all this cake talk you sound like my Mrs - where there's a brew there's cake....

Careful mate.

Sounds like chris' ideal partner! Watch out!! Haha :D :D.

I can still get in my leathers so all is good!  Cake is an integral art of motorcycling.  Even Valentino likes cake.

Last Sunday was like a summer's day so we went to Barmouth in North Wales and ran up the coast to Harlech coming back via Betws Y Coed - some amazing roads

A top day out.

Well not strictly to the bike but dug out the base for the new shed over the past 3 days - a whopping 6m X 4.5m X 250 mm deep. Been back breaking. Concrete going down today the the log shed going up 2 weeks tomorrow.

Cannot wait - all for the bikes and workshop.

Thought youd gone abit quiet mate!

Should be good that! Make it into a proper man cave ;).

How weird.  We are just getting on with our bike shed project.  I chopped down the shrubs/trees the other day so the guy who is doing it can get in with his digger.  We are also having a load of block paving done so I am not having to turn the bike on gravel.  Ordered the shed yesterday which will be 12' x 6' pent roof with 2 3' doors at the front so there is plenty of room to get in.  Can you believe the bike is 8' long?

It will be good to not have to faff about with covering the bike up and the cat sleeping under the cover putting his grubby paw prints all over it!  We have a shed already but it isn't in a position where I can get the bike in it and it has no electric.  This one will be purpose built for the bike electric and all.  Man shed.

Sorry dude, was away last week and not stopped digging this week. How's tricks ?

Yeah should be epic, 45mm spruce construction, double glazed door and side windows, double barn front doors. Bigger than my last garage! !!

Plan is for one end to be the bike storage, workshop n gear storage, then partitioned off into the man cave with another workshop, cider making area, garden storage and a couple of old sofas and lastly the pushbike storage.

Cannot wait !!

Nice- we like man caves ! Need some pictures when it's done. Always nice to get the bikes in a proper place. Ours are in a metal shed for now which is fine but won't be good for condensation over winter.

Problem for me was finding somewhere to put it where it wouldn't stand out like a racing dog's nuts!  We have a huge garden and you would think it would be easy to find a corner for the bike but it isn't.

We have solved the problem but not cheaply.  We have an enormous drive and it is gravel which we keep dragging into the house on the bottom of our shoes.  So we decided we would pave part of it. The guy who has done work for us in the past told us he could block pave it for about the same for not much more than paving so that is what we have gone for.  It will tidy that area up and means it is easier to turn the bike as well.

I will put some before and after piccies up.

Sounds brilliant! Nout like abit of digging is there. Makes you feel good haha.

Things are good mate. Your things?

Sounds brilliant that! Proper mancave. Always turns hugely strong though doesnt it, home made cider. You might not make it back out again on your feet? Hahaa.

Atleast youll have the k13 to perve on whilst youre in there! :)

Went for a ride in the Autumn sun. Fantastic countryside views. Called in at the Laverda Jota premises. They now share with an official MV Augusta dealer. Now they are gorgeous looking machines..................! Would I? Would you?
