Seat Toledo looks a better value car, not sure how the resale value compares to VW and I think the VW has some extra eqpt such as auto dimming interior mirror, xenons and ESP.

One of the main reasons I chose the Fabia was a blend of economy, features, cost and power. I doubt you'll get much better than a small car with a diesel.

3-series diesels are good, but I doubt they'd be more economical that a Fabia VRs. Not being a smartass, but seriously, a bit lighter on the throttle? It's amazing what difference it can make, in my PD100 it makes the difference between 45mpg and 68mpg!

A lupo PD or a hybrid will maintain 45 mpg +.

Mini diesel.Be prepared though.It is claimed to be a way of life,not just a car :gay:
