Update...

 

Just had an email back off the guy from Darkside that is dealing with the order. Unfortunately this weekend is when they're moving premises typically! So I'll be phoning them to order first thing on Wednesday morning when they're sorted.

 

On another note, I've asked if the coolers can be supplied plain if possible, as opposed to having Darkside's logo on them. So can everyone update the list accordingly with whether they want a plain or 'Darkside' branded cooler in the kit...

Ok, so had an email from Danny at Darkside.

 

It seems they haven't quite got all the fittings in stock. Bit annoying, as I did tell them there was at least 6 a while ago. I suppose they can't order unless they've got the money in their account though...

 

They should have everything they need in by Monday. So fingers crossed next Wednesday I'll have everything with me.

Ok guys... these have arrived :)

 

 

I'm stupidly busy tomorrow so won't have chance to start boxing them up until Friday. So as soon as the first is boxed and weighed I'll be in touch re. postage costs and addresses. So all being well they should get picked up by the courier on Monday

 

I've just gone through all the parts right now - all parts present and accounted for. Split them down into kits all ready to box up.

 

They look a really good bit of kit!

Alex has plenty of spare time so I'm sure he will do a guide

The only difficult part will be making up brackets to hold the cooler on the car,fitting the sandwich plate is not much different to changing your oil filter

The cooler should really be mounted with rubber bobbins onto the car/brackets, due to the possible movement from the engine transferring to the cooler mounting points.

I emailed a local vag specialist garage asking about cost of installation and got quoted a kind've ridiculous price, even tho they weren't to sure about it saying bring it down and we'll have a look at it.

I'd rather give it a go myself.
