So thinking of getting the KTM 690 Enduro R (SM TRIM)

Definitely. If you want a rare bike (and these are, they'll only be a handful of them in the country) then you'll be very unlikely to find the right bike locally.

Ah see thats where it actually works quite well/gets interesting but people are often too scared to try.    If you order without ever going to the dealer, you're buying under the distance selling re

I would mate, 96 miles is nothing really.

Just gotta ring the owner n make sure it is what you think it is. Nout worse than driving to find something not what you expected.

Id offer a lift if you were local.

And the aftermarket exhaust on the other one doesn't add any value. Quite the opposite, if he hasn't got the original pipe too.

Also. If he can sell his one with 8600 miles on for that money. You can afford to do 6k miles, decide if you like it and sell it for a non loss if you dont.

Haha cheers fella its from a KTM dealership so trust is up there :D

Well i hope they dont betray that trust.

Bike dealers do tend to be better than car dealers with honesty, but i have travelled a 500 mile round trip to a bike that was promised many things. It was ****. I drove all the way back home with an empty van.

You still want to see a bunch of full res pics before making a 200 mile round trip though, but it looks good from that one pic, and it's done bugger all miles, and the tyres look like it's not been ridden hard.

You have to wonder why the other one has the non-oe EBC front disc too. He can't have worn out the original in 8600 miles, unless he's warped it on track days... And the gold disc carrier looks gash.

Yeah I'm the kind of person to walk away if i dont like the look of something i dont get pressured into buying or taking it because of the distance traveled.

I was only considering the one with the aftermakert can because i love how it sounds with the WINGS can :D

Looks good!

Buy the lower miler, treat yourself to the can at a later date ;).

You'd be crazy to base a buying decision on the fact that a bike has an aftermarket can on (especially if it doesn't come with the oe can).

It weren't just based on the can was based on the distance and trust in the seller as well

It does, and all original (apart from maybe the rear Supersprox rear sprocket, I don't know KTMs well enough to know whether they fit those as OE). Mileage is barely run in and the chicken strips on the tyres suggest it's been ridden by someone from the local old folks' home. Looks well worth a trip. As for a van, just haggle for the dealer to deliver included in the price (I'd expect that on a bike that price).

That's a lot of balance weights on the rear wheel. I always ask tyre fitters to put them on the left side of the wheel, so they don't show in photos, lol.
