Cheapest Green Rear Caliper?

Featured Replies

After letting the garage look at my squeaking Fabia, they have told me I need a new brake caliper.

They want to charge me £130+VAT for a green one, cheapest I can find is £105 delivered on Ebay.

Yet a standard silver caliper is £37.50? Is this green paint special? :dull:

Anybody see any cheaper or am I wasting money and should just paint the silver one...

Duplicating badly, someone please sort out my mess.....

Last time I try posting on a tablet!

Just get a silver one and paint them all a colour of your choice.

Simples

Or get a silver one and leave it silver

Or get one from the parts used as plenty cars are always being broken up.....

Or get a rebuild kit!?

I'd have to get someone to take them all of and paint them then, I have no mechanical skill whatsoever.

One silver would make my OCD brain go mental. lol

I have no skills with cars or anything mechanical, I have no reason not to believe the garage.

If that's the case then buying the green ones are your only options

Where are you located?

I have a tin of skoda green you could use.

Eurocarparts.com had a special on a few days ago. Think they were about £55 with a surcharge on them. Might be worth checking them out.

They were new...

Are you running standard or Octy rears? I'll dig out the link if its the latter... or see if they do standard if its the former :)

Running standard Fabia vRS brakes all round.

Ah... that doesn't make sense :(

Ignore me, it seems green paint really is worth £40 a side if you own a Fabia but not if you own an Octavia :P
