Last car was a Ford Focus 1.6 zetec, had it for two and a half years. Excellent handling but not very quick, really enjoyed it though, still love the modern feel of the interior.

But the 1.8 T Elegance Octy i have had for a couple of weeks is just amazing. Love the looks inside and out and it was nice to move away from the "herd" of focus drivers.

Previous car was an XJ40 .... a great car if you did not look at the running costs - was written off by my son , who drives a Warrior !!!! not to be outdone I decided to buy something else built like a tank - A Skoda 4*4 combi ..... all I need now is the turret to go on top but since there are few cars that can keep up with it around Snowdownia , guess I don't need one !

Black Renault Megane 2.0 IDE Coupe, it blew up when I started it one morning. Lost all faith in it, especially when Renault wouldn't pay when it was under (extended) warranty. Renault lost faith themsleves! because I believe they removed it from the Phase III Megane, and installed a VVT in its place, they would never admit that though

My last car was an 03 Impreza WRX with PPP (261bhp)

Came across an Octavia RS on my local "Test Track". I was doing a steady 80mph in 5th, in the WRX. Just ahead was the Octavia in lane 1 doing 75mph? So as i closed on him (Still doing 80mph). He changes down and boots it throught the gears. Ok, so i accelerate in 5th and "Slowly" reel him in. So now we are doing 130mph (Still accelerating) and he shows no sign of pulling into lane 1. No signs of cars up ahead for him to overtake, so i undertake him (Still accelerating in 5th) :thumbdwn: as i go past, i gave him a wave & he smiled.Last time i looked i was going through 140mph and still pulling.

I was very impressed with the Octavia, yes i had an extra 81 bhp and could have made the job easier by changing down.

So after doing about 6,000miles in one month in the wrx, it dawned on me that i needed somthing FAST, but cheaper to run........Hence i own a Octavia vRS

I still miss the sound of the flat four, but dont miss the fuel bills.

Just need to save some pennies for the jabba stage 3 Turbo upgrade

before the furby vrs it was a Peugeot 206 2.0Hdi and it was terrible, spent most of it's time in the garage and after 14 months of ownership I had enough of it and traded it in against the furby. Peugeots are rubbish!

If there is a list then it would be like this Lastest at top.

1) Skoda Fabia vRS

2) Peugeot 206 2.0Hdi (yuck)

3) Peugeot 306 Sedan 1.8 SR (nice car)

4) Citroen Saxo VTS in Wicked Red (had problems)

5) Citroen Saxo VTS in Blaze yellow (Gearbox plus other problems)

6) Peugeot 306 1.6 5dr hatch (great car they good but too slow)

7) Peugeot 106 1.1 (My first new car, great car but needed a bigger car)

8) Metro 1.3 auto (again!!)

9) Metro 1.3 man (hated this car! Got written off when it was broken in to)

10) Metro 1.3 Auto (My first car, I named it and everything love it to bits)

'94 Subaru Impreza 1.6 GL, 130,000 miles on the clock, got a job 60 miles away, so instead of moving (GF was opposed to the idea) wnet and got a Furby VRS. Still have the scooby in the garage, cos my dad and bro reckon 'its a future classic'. A 1.6GL!?!?!

I had a Fiat Uno which I sold to buy a eco-friendly mountain Bike. The g/f had a Vauxhall Corsa 12v Ecotec (bago****e) had to stick yer feet out the bottom to accelerate, dealers ripped me right off with servicing and had major problems with the enginge managment system, too many sensors going wrong.

Bike got nicked (thank you junkies!!) and traded in the Corsa for a Fabia Blackline. Loved the Blackine and test drove an Octy vRS but my insurance company said "Foxtrot Oscar".

Got a new job and needed a second car. The g/f drives the Blackline and I bought the vRS  Loving every minute of it :D

Mk4 VW Golf 1.6. Slow, jelly-like handling but smooth, quiet and comfortable. The exact opposite of my car before that, a Mk1 Toyota MR2 which was a wicked car but was slowly falling to bits!

Fabia feels like a go-kart compared to the Golf ;)

Previously, Subaru WRX STI (grey import) - big bills forced sale therefore...

Octy VRS replaced it, and it was better in my opinion than sccoby.

That said, got rid of Octy 2 weeks ago for Saab 9-3, still can't work out why tho!!!

My Octy vRS replaced a black Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2 5dr. Despite being a Vauxhall it was a great little car and served me well for the 3 years I owned it :)

Biggest problem were the dealers. Shockingly bad service and customer care. Hopefully things will be better with the Skoda (if the JD Power survey is to be believed!).

Before the Corsa had a Nova 1.2 and before that a Polo 'bread van' with a barmy 1050cc! :D
