Cold air and FMIC.

Featured Replies

Anybody else who have fitted the Forge FMIC noticed how much extra "torque" they have in this cold spell.

Maybe placebo but I don't think so, TC now coming on when accelerating in 4th. This from a 170+ remap.

Now you're just making me jealous :(

I just have the good old pikey mod, but the car is much more responsive. I think its a combination of cold dense fuel, cold dense air, and gritted/slippy roads. Mine was a right handful last night. :D

Although, strangely, I suffered heatsoak for a couple of mins, after a vigorous blast down my favourite twisties

Not something you FMIC endowed folks will encounter again :(

:D

Yes I have, infact I now get clutch slip on full charge where as before it would only be on low revs under strain!

No matter how heavy footed I am, I never get the drop in performance like I did before. Also it's not as smokey as before.

Still yet to fit my sump guard

Better when 100% of the FMIC is in the freezing airflow too. ;):D

Thats why you can't warm your car up in the morning, I think you better put an oil temp gauge in the other vent hole.

:P  No, until I smash a slat on that side, no guage is going in. ;)

-6 in the display on the way work, pulling like a train at that but weary about the road conditions.

Seeminly Jason, there is very little in the difference in intake temperatures between a fully opened up FMIC as you have and the Forge FMIC setup, maybe just that placebo effect you feel ;)

Shifty drop the 10% discount and use the money for a FMIC. :)

Pretty easy. There is a handy guide in the Forge fitting insructions as Xavier pointed out the other day.

No placebo going on here just raw cold Forge power ;-)

one of your products has really disapointed me tho Forge people :(

TBH if I can do it anyone should be able too! :D only tip to give might be have someone to help you hold the bumper whilst you disconnect the fog and temp sensor wires.

Oh and dont forget to re-connect them :o
