Hmm I hope that isn't an option they've taken away! Especially as I was planning on downloading and updating mine soon as quite a few roads are missing /wrong now.

What is the firmware version for your Amundsen?

 

Mine displays speed limits and has the menu option to turn on/off. System information is:

 

Device 5E0035874A

Hardware version: 040

Firmware version: 0435

 

I'm using the latest maps database too.

My device and hardware is the same, but software (firmware) 0465

Interesting. You seem to have a newer firmware version but an earlier car. Mines June 2014.

There's a possibility mines been updated by the dealership, but not the maps. Mines a September 2013.

I checked the update site with my VIN and no software updates available. As you say,probably needs a visit to the dealer, which I'll get around to sometime.

My car is a Vrs with Columbus and MY15. when I go to set up and update POI, it doesn't see the Db3 file and seems to be looking for Vcards ?

 

Any ideas ?

I'm sure, thats same as mine. But no speed CAMERAS alerts, big difference.

 

I think you are mistaking with traffic signs tickbox. If not please send your speed cameras tickbox screenshot.

After all, I have a 10 year old Pioneer and recently looking even that seems apparently capable of things the Amundsen isn't ( like 3g connecton ! ODBII clearing MIL lights etc supposedly)

 

Plus support for multiple map providers and of course hacking your own maps on !

That's on an Amundsen II, does the same thing work on the original Amundsen?

Reading this thread after trying to find out whether or not anything other than the speed limit is displayed under 'Traffic signs' in the U.K. - it sounds like it's a 'no'!

re Speed cameras, I understand why warnings about these might be useful but considering that there are so many mobile speed camera vans in multiple possible locations, perhaps it's not that useful after all?
