I updated my MIB1 firmware today. Very easy. Took about 35 minutes  I just went out for a gentle country drive while it was doing the updating.

have the language: ITALIANO

or english?

It's multi-language, normally all your settings like language should be preserved.

Update instructions:
1) Format your SD card or USB drive to FAT32 (min. 8 GB card needed)

2) Download & unpack the archive to the card (3 folders and the .txt should be in the root directory)

3) Ignition ON (engine not running), insert your SD card or USB

4) Press and hold the MENU button, wait for the service menu to appear

5) Select SW Update, Update

6) Select USB or SD card, select Release

7) Then you can select the components to update, probably all available preselected by default

8) Select Start

9) The update process will start and the HU will restart several times. Don't press anything.

10) When it is finished you will get an update summary message, just close it

11) "Version back documentation" screen appears (final step), this is the moment to connect your VCDS cable

12) Go to module 5F, Adaptations, and select channel "Confirmation of installation change"

13) Check your current "Stored value" and write it down

14) Start Windows Calculator and set it to "Programming" mode (Alt+3)

15) Calculate the following: abcd Xor C9D2 (abcd is your "Stored value", C9D2 is fix). Double check it. :)

16) Enter your new value (in "xx xx" format, using a space character) and click "Do It!" (you may get an "Unknown (0x00)" error, no problem)

17) Your headunit should restart automatically in a few secs.

18) Once your HU works again, turn ignition OFF.

19) Ignition ON again and start VCDS again

20) Start an Autoscan and check for fault codes on different modules (09, 17, 19, 5F, ...) and clear them

21) You are done

I downloaded the file as per link. Unpacked it and put it onto a formatted (fat32) sd card. There are a total of 6 items see photo. The system does not recognise the card as an option to install from. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.
