Driving less than 10mph and fabia cuts out, wont start again

Featured Replies

Skoda Fabia 1.9 tdi VRS.

Driving along and car lost all power, and died. Tried to start it again and it would turn over but not start. So left it where it was, next day I came to it, it coughed and spluttered and then started for a couple of seconds and died again..

I’m thinking it could be a fuel issue i.e. fuel pump?

Any ideas? Thanks!

fuel filter?

Can you hear the fuel pump working ?

Is there definitely fuel in the tank? If so, any chance it's been mis-fuelled with petrol?

If neither of those, I'd say something like crank sensor.

my guess was the fuel pump sorry, when i turn my key its usually like a liquid trickling sound, it doesnt really do that anymore.
