Rev problem

Featured Replies

Having a problem with my 07 skoda fabia II HTP 1.2

When car is sat at idle my revs drop from around 800 down to about 400 and almost stalls and then hunts up and down. I had this problem when I first bought the car but it seemed to go away. Could it be weather related? Also found that sometimes the revs will stick at 4000 when driving down the motorway. Also while the revs are hunting up and down, if I put my foot under the acceleration pedal and pull back the revs return to normal. Problem with the pedal, sensor or ECU maybe?

Any help would be much apreciated thanks
