Model year 2017

Featured Replies

I have been to 4 different Skoda dealers and asked about this virtuell pedal. They all tried to demonstrate it in the shop for me. Every one failed.

The L&K has this as a standard in Norway. My dealer promised me that he will learn this before I get my car in 2 weeks. Then he will teach me....

My dealer did not know how to activate it.  I had to show him. :)

You must kick your foot forward , in the centre.  To slow and it will not activate.   - its a good tool but needs getting used to.

It is natural to move your foot left to right but that will not work.  It must be to the front of the car and withdraw backwards

No Canton for me then. There is no way I want KESSY - all the security of a paper bag. I wish they would give up on these keyless systems. Sorry - rant over!

It is quite likely (if the car is in the showroom) that it has either been disabled in the infotainment (radio) or they did not have the keys on them at the same time.

Just a question  do you get 2 or 3 keys from dealer?

I have MY2016 and got 2 keys  one chrome another black

friend have MY2017 and he have one chrome 2 black keys

Did they not provided my 3rd black key or new for 2017 3 keys?

Only ever got 2 keys with a new car - my Superb has KESSY so I have 1x chrome tipped key fob and 1x black key fob.

On our my17 we have 3 black keys.

My S3 with KESSY came with 3 keys.

HEATED STEERING WHEEL?

Hello! I'm new to this site and as yet I do not own a Skoda. I am however looking very seriously at a brand new Superb, and so I am weighing up my options. Here's the deal...

I have a reasonable grasp of the trim levels and extras available, and know what I like (leaning towards L&K 190 4x4 DSG with add-ons) but I can't get to the bottom of the heated steering wheel situation. I live in Sweden, so for me (and the wife) it is a neccessary luxury. However, after reading about MY17 updates I am further confused as to whether a 'rattvärme' or 'heated steering wheel' is in fact available here. I live in the Swedish Norrland where it can be rather chilly 5 months of the year! I have read differing answers thus far on this forum, and the latest Skoda sites aren't updated... Please does anybody have a definitive answer? Thanks ;-)

Wait for the 2017 facelift.

Two heated steering wheel options appeared on the UK configurator a week or so ago - one with and one without DSG paddles - for an extra £130 over the standard wheels (appears to be SE upwards).

Since my order hadn't been allocated a build week so I was able to modify my order to add it (because I could).

Same here, just checked and I can add it to my order as its now available in (Ireland) for €154.

Heated wheel £130

Aldi gloves £3

Driven wearing gloves for the past 47 years. It becomes a habit! Think I would give the heated wheel a miss.

Thanks for the response all. Sounds promising for the Swedish market if they are pushing it in the UK! So fingers crossed (and holding thumbs (as we do here). Our climate being that much colder (we can get minus 35°c no problem, and snow for several months) it is something that many people are talking about/ordering nowadays. Then comes the other thing... my wife will drive the car most days as I have a truck for my work. She would love the 'rattvärme' and it seems a small price to pay for a whole heap of happiness. I'll be sure to shout it from the rooftops the day it gets an official release here...

Then I believe my mind will be made up!

As i have understood, cars with the "personalisation" feature (seats, mirrors, radio, drive mode selector and so on) comes with 3 keys. Perhaps this feature was introduced on MY17.

My MY17 car has the personalisation, and it came with three (1 x chrome and 2 x plastic) keys.

It's available in Norway. 1500 NOK for heated steering wheel. 2500 NOK if in combination with paddles.

I´m from Portugal, and the car only came with 2 black keys. MY2016

I'm from Portugal too.

I've a MY2017 "Skoda Superb Combi III 2.0TDI 190 cv DSG Laurin&Klement" (what a big name... lol) and it came with three keys (1 chrome and 2 black keys)

Hello Guys !

I live in Hungary, I've just founf this forum, which is great.

I've ordered a Superb Combi 4x4 280ps L&K in this August, the dealer said that it will be 22-26 weeks to get my car.

The dealer called me last week, saying that the factory confirmed the production, although I haven't got any deatails.

This weekend in this forum i saw the heated steering wheel option, which appeared in the Hungarian Configurator last week.

For me it would be a very neccessary addition.

I've contacted the dealer immediately to add this option to the list. She couldn't answer yét.

Do you think that it's still possible to get my car with the heated steering wheel, as the car is already confirmed?

Or do I just lost this possibility?

Anyway, why do people talking about MY2017 from april 2016? Why is this illogical thing?

MY changes mid-year to mark "model year" instead of "production year". This is typically done during Summer re-tooling breaks. Should these breaks occur during Winters, we'd see less confusion about MY vs PY ;) Since models usually don't change in-between a particular model year, it is reasonable to assign a car built the same way to the same model year.

As for the heated wheel option, I believe you can add it until the manufacturing actually begins - I added it to mine no prob (with Duna Auto). You'll have to re-do financing paperwork though.

Hey !

Thanks for the info, now I understand.

Tomorrow I will call the dealer ASAP to make sure about the heated Wheel...

As I see, you have ordered a Superb too. :) What is your engine, trim level and configuration?

OT: TSI 220 LK hatch, "basalt brown", fully tricked-out sans moonroof and Columbus, w/roof crossbars and winter tire set/snowchains thrown in for financing.
