Fastest Fabia vRS ?

Featured Replies

I know this thread is going to open a can of worms...... :D

But with the imminent arrival of me One-click (tomorrow..!) I can see myself getting into modding several aspects of my Fabia vRS.

Here are the killer questions :-

Who has got the fastest Fabia vRS on the board ?

What modding did you do to it ?

How much did it cost and what are the performance stats ?

How reliable are you finding it ?

Now all I need is answers, answer, answers.......:)

Maybe we should all go find a runway, and find out :D

Black Magic and Jason

:iagree: but make it central :D

Black Magic and Jason

+ shifty's is quite a mover isn't it? :)

I wouldn't mind betting that Andy has the fastest ;)

Ross Clarkes vRS used to be somewhat legendary, but that is now owned by Xav.

Jasons is probably up there with the best of them, but its NOT a vRS  :P

Black Magic?

Noones mentioned me :(

Mine moves quite well, but i strongly doubt its a match for either Jasons or Black Magic's in a straight line drag.

In fact, if i can find the guy on the CTR club site, i'll drag him over and you can ask him how mine fares against a civic type R.

Edited to add, on a cold day, not much in it between mine and Colin G. On a hot day i would lose out really badly, as i'm not as well equipped as "ice cold Colin"

Oh yeah, Jason's isnt a vRS, didnt read the title.

Black Magic it is then

Its the vRS Special Edition Ghia X injection Turbo:D

I think you'll all be surprised to know, any Fabia with close to 180bhp will be as fast as any other on here. :)

I can get access to a grass runway but it ain't for the faint hearted.

Remember to balance mods with reliability. I have a mate who has a 450bhp Saab with 400+lb torque, but he has broken 6 gearboxes in the last couple of years. That's expensive.

If it's performance with reliability you want, you'd have a long way to go to beat the guys with their 1.8t VAG equipped Mk1 & Mk2 Golf's. I have seen a video of one pulling straight away from an modified Audi RS6 on a German Autobahn!! Remember, the weight issue is just as important as power and torque and a Mk 1 Golf GTi weighs around 500kg less than a Fabia VRS.

I'd be most interested to see what a properly sorted VRS is like as I'll be really tempted to go to town on it when the car is out of the manufacturers warranty. Will do my best to get to a future meet.

My money goes on the CCVRS 1.8T fabia with 300bhp.[/quote']

I think you are right pal.

I think the difference between

Whoever has Ross's old vRS will have the fastest vRS imho.

If it's the fastest "PD130 based" Fabia though, my vote goes to Jason!

Is that the Platinum filter' date=' as opposed to the Green filter? ;)

Misquote engine running at full power I see

Not much of a problem for you you mate.... the words "stone" and "throw" come to mind

Another vote for xav's car (ex ross's) I'd also think that the owner of the star performance tweeked one would be fair rapid to.

I managed a 0-60 in 6.63 in my "jabba" tuned Fabia, and that's only got a remap, panel filter & intake and pikey mods 1 & 2.

Not sure how many people get sub 6's on here as it's hard to get all that power down.

I heard Black Magics vRS was 230 bhp with new injectors

vRS_Barry had 215 bhp IIRC and he had the real Cupra FMIC on his :) before anyone else got there Forge ones (quite a bit of bumper mods apparently needed to get it to fit).

I've seen the Star car "map tweeked" for a dyno run, 245bhp and 420ft/lb.

It runs around 215bhp and 330ft/lb due to the clutch.

Xav's car also runs around 215bhp. with the BV39/20 turbo so it and the Star car sit behind Jasons in power terms. But I know which one I'd prefer to accelerate in. It'd be the one getting the Quaffe diff fitted on Friday.

What about fastest fabia??? Because if i put 3 batteries in then 12volt is running treble the power!!!

All Barrys bits and a few more are now on the Star car.:)

And I also know Neo_VR is a sleeper on this one.

Xav's car also runs around 215bhp.

ahem-no it dosent!!! lol. unless he has had it played with again. last i knew it was running about 180bhp

Jim at Star also said he fitted the first their LPG kit to a Fabia on monday along with I/C spray, but he would'nt say whos car was in. The only clue was that it was either silver or black. So now more than one sleeper out there.

It wasn't mine.

:iagree:

When I last spoke to Xav he said it was running 180ish. Something to do with the clutch slipping
