Air condition three zone Climatronic heating or cooling

Featured Replies

I bought the new car 2 months ago, and from the start I having a problem with the air conditioning, when I turn on cooling(low temperature) the hot air coming out the front vents, while the back vents comes out cold air. I went to authorized service and they said that is problem with software on every Skoda model, and that update software will to solve the problem, they update me once, but weather was cold so i can't check, when I was try again it wont work, i went again to service and they update climatronic software again and told me to come back in two weeks, when they update software with final version, that was 5 days ago, and when I went they told me that there is no solution. Interesting is when they connect car to computer, it does not showing any error, although hot air coming out from front vents on low temperature. But when I turn off car, and start again 5-10 minutes later, it works normal, and so on. Never know how will work when I start engine. Is this happening someone else or just me?

A mate's last generation VW Passat had the same problem. Intermittent, random but enough to be mentioned. Never resolved.

Had the same problem on an E class Merc, it was never fixed despite being looked at several times and some new sensors and a software update.(luckily still under warranty).

Had it set on 18C one day and it got up to 36C in the cabin! other times it would blow out nothing but ice cold air.

Not saying that the Merc system is any way like the VAG one though.

Switching the system off and back on again usually reset the system for the journey.
