Boot side storage pod

Featured Replies

My now departed Superb had one either side with a divider.

The Octy only has the one on the left.

Cost cutting I suspect, which is a shame as they are really handy.

Is there a 'kit' to do a diy installation on the right does  anyone know?

Not the same thing. The boot hook is to hang shopping bags etc on. The VRS has 2, other models may have none or one. Friend has 2013 non VRS that had none. Roughly a fiver each from someone in England and come with screws and 2 mins to fit into existing holes.

I might look at the storage pod on RHS myself either to buy or make.

Yeah, me too, coming from an MkII Octavia estate and a MkII Superb I'm used to having both cubby holes completely covered with a full height door.

That way the de-icer, first aid kit, waterproofs, spare bulbs etc. are all hidden out of sight.

In our MkIII Octavia estate I have the same cubby's but with half height fronts meaning when you open the boot you get to see all the tat that would otherwise be hidden.

The list of cost savings from the MkII to the MkIII is growing.
