The 230 is only £730 more than a Standard 220 ( hatch ) and with so much extra kit it's well worth the extra cash.Leather, heated seats, folding eletric mirrors, black pack, sunset glass, fancy front

  • No. I got the 230 for the diff and financially it made sense based on the other kit you get thrown in vs a 220. Spec a 220 with to match a 230 and it'll cost you more. The additional 10bhp was irrelev

Great news, when did you order it, I ordered mine 19th May and picked it up last Monday (10th )

What colour have you gone for................?

Good man. Combi or hatch?

Hatch all the way.. If I ever need the extra space I just borrow the parents mk2 combi

So I took my new ride out for a bit of a late night drive with a friend and I have to say I was ugly-laughing most of the way. This is an insane car, even with just restricting the power for the first 1k miles.

It is a good car and doesn't take long or much to get to naughty speeds! I have a Burgermotorsports JB1 on mine and its pretty nuts to be honest!

I'm convinced more and more that the engine is nowhere near 230 bhp. It's like a rocket ship.

i'm thinking the same  250ish ?

No idea but I would be interested in seeing one that had been on a dyno to confirm.

I'm aware of a standard one that made 257hp. :)

Would not surprise me at all, I'm looking into a remap once it's done 20k or so, I guess I'll find out then.

Are you from the states?

No, Nottingham.

just picked mine up, nice smooth ride and pretty quiet compared to the mk2 cr170! very happy with it and going to fit my mudflaps today that I got from Superskoda on Thursday :) will take some pics later!

Just seen a print out from a standard 230 on a rolling road the car was kicking out 247.3 bhp!!!! I'll try and post the pic!

Yea seen it also.

Where did you pick the jb1 from. I can only seem to find them on the American sites and postage is quite high

I imported it from America.

ive added a few extras to mine this week rear door sill covers and front and rear mudflaps. I also painted the hubs black to finish the look off better and whilst the wheels were off i coated them in carpro dlux to keep them looking good for longer.

i know mudflaps are not to everyones taste but i think they suit the car and to be honest you hardly notice them.

i like the way the wheels look deeper now the hubs are painted.

hopefully ive added the pics right and you can see them!

I fitted mudflaps all round on the day I picked mine up! only took about 30 mins and just finishes it off nicely :) bought mine from Superskoda for 14eu a pair, dealer wanted £68 a pair!!

ive added a few extras to mine this week rear door sill covers!

i got them from superskoda the design of them is exactly the same but they dont have the colour in them like the fronts do, they are genuine skoda also.

not sure if standard vrs's have coloured inlays or its just the 230 model.
