clock and odometer staying on

Featured Replies

Hi

i bought a fabia 2 2009 model, i have noticed that after taking the key out of the ignition and locking the car the clock and the odometer stays on all  time even over night , also the electric window works without putting the key in the ignition , I am just curious to know if all this is normal as i use to have a fabia 1 and never use to see the clock on the dash after locking the car

Thanks

The windows should stop working after a few minutes of the ignition being off.

Unsure on the pre fl cluster but my maxidot FL cluster goes blank after 5 minutes or so of locking the car.

My Windows stay live after turning the ignition off, till someone opens a door... and as above the Maxi-Dot goes blank after about 5 minutes from the time I lock the door!

It'd be daft for the windows to stay live permanently, as all it would take to break in was a coat hanger down the rubbers and push the button!!

Thats odd because the MK1 fabia i had was a 2003 ( gave it to the wife now ) and i just double checked the odometer goes off when locking the car !! but not on MK2 !!

There must be an electrical fault somewhere because just checked the windows work without even putting the key in the ignition door open or close ,and the  clock / odometer are on 24/7 ! i wonder what it could be
