Featured Replies

no doubt there will be a price hike and no special offers.. maybe next time! the mk3 is due a facelift next year so maybe they will come out then?

As marko says - facelift due, rather than Mk4.

  • The dealers don't know anything more than we do on this very forum, probably less actually. I'd take what they told you with a big pinch of salt.

Just spoken to my dealer.    As from 5pm last night ( as we all know ) Skoda are taking no more orders for the 230 Manual or DSG (and the 184 Tdi 4x4 Vrs DSG)   All stock orders/demonstrators have

well I just been and done it! ordered a 230 estate in Corrida red, only options I gone for was reversing camera and dual level boot floor. it has everything else I would ever need to be honest!

Mark.

Just spoke to Tom at simpsons and 230s do indeed finish at 5pm tomorrow

Interesting.

Did he speculate/confirm on it's replacement?

I wonder if the regular 220 is still available to order? If not then I suspect its all part of the facelift thing, especially as the Diesel vRS is being stopped too.

If it's just the 230 being stopped then maybe the 230 will be succeeded by a Golf R type of performance model further down the line when the facelift comes out next year...

No nothing will replace 230 it will stay 220 until facelift at the end of next year

They are killing off the diesel vRS? Has this been confirmed?

when I was in there speccing it up I asked about electric folding mirrors as I wanted them, he couldn't find an option on the 230 so came to a conclusion they were standard, can anyone confirm this?

yes standard on 230

The problem is although that would be great, skoda are no longer as 'good value for money' a tsi 280 4x4 estate would be what 32k which at that price point opens a lot of other choice of manufactures

I'd be in the target market for a vRS with that spec, pretty close to a Golf R estate with added space for peoples / stuff.

If it had been on sale earlier this year we wouldn't have bought our Golf!

At the end of May, my local dealer said the Sportline Superb was a long way off in the UK, at least until after the Kodiaq was launched and selling, so maybe Q2 2017

As above, these are standard buddy on the 230!! :-)

Mmm £220 pch through simpsons, I don't like idea of not owning it but I change often so could be ideal

all I can think of is a rear view camera and a multi lever boot floor, apart from that it comes with just about everything! was gonna have another colour but think red will do.. meteor grey is interesting but doesn't quite do it for me!

is there any other options worth ticking? that new suspension would be OK but £850 is a bit too much imo..

The adaptive suspension was an option on our Golf, but it was money well spent, especially on UK roads!

I tend to agree , you're heading into a reasonably specced 3 series category

Plus 230bhp in today's world isn't actually that quick for a petrol.

The Focus ST3 I'm getting is 250bhp (can be Mounttuned to 272bhp and retain the warranty), has more toys than you can shake a stick at and I'm getting it for just over £23k.  £5k down and 36 lots of £210.

Skodas are good cars, no doubt about that, but I wonder if their compass is not showing true north with their target audience and what they're churning out of the factory.

I guess they suffer from being last in the pecking order of the great 4.
