Can anyone identify this part for me?

Featured Replies

I rarely transport muttly in the VRS but when I do she's strapped in and there's a dog guard thing covering the back seats and doors. I was picking her up last week and bringing her home and she got madly excited at the sight of some horses on the road (thinks she's a Doberman or something) and scratched the scratchy plastics on both back doors.

I was going to wrap them or something but after thinking about it I'll just replace them and relegate the dog to a cage in the boot from now on.

Anyone know if it's possible to replace them? Or know of a part number?

Probably a complete door card as they are normally one part these days. Without taking one apart I can't confirm this though

Thanks for that. I think I'm looking at part 2 or 2A.

Superskoda also sell stick on panels for these areas. In metal with vRS inscription.

This will cover it enough to hide the scratches...

Is it a discount code for the sale? Not mad about the inserts but they might brighten it up a bit.

Yep the door trims on the Octavia are very low rent and disappointing. No design flair at all.

Just more scratchy black plastic to get damaged.

Should automatically be put on once you go through to the checkout.

Don't do it!

The metal ones from SuperSkoda - or AliExpress - are "handed". The front door ones are cut specifically for left hand drive cars, they're not inter-changeable because of the window switches in the driver's door. RHD ones not available at all. This goes for a lot of stuff on AliExpress. The dealers there say stuff will fit, but it doesn't - glovebox handle cover is another example.

Polish it out as suggested.

Really?

Must be my imagination that they are on mine then.

Thanks for letting me know, I will seek medical advice regarding this.

God knows what I'll be hallucinating next!

I'm with you on this, FlyingGecko, although it would be nice if they were actually universal because I'd quite like a set for mine......

Stick with that then, what superskoda says.
