I thought Si proved the 4wd factor on our behalf? ;)

No Si proved 300+BHP and 4WD rules :D

Small cars were all over the "power cars", well except THE SWEENEY, but that was driven very well... :smile-l:

  • I'm not entering, so no ambulance sorry - need to get this throttle body problem sorted once and for all. May try and get down at some point during the day tho.

  • lol for those who don't know what m&s really stands for, its short for mud & snow (or big knobbley tyres) si

Bring the RS's next time and we'll jump in....

...or...

Instead of aiming our challenges within briskoda - could we do some sort of "team" event versus another forum?

Erik - what do you think? Cumlative times' date=' teams made up of identical engines on either side ie equal 1.9PD's and 1.8T's \ Ibiza-Fabia Leon-Octavia, or maybe a "pairing" in a briskoda member vs a cupranet challenger?

All in good fun, trophies awarded etc?[/quote']

That was "kinda" tried... noone from SCN had the balls to do it :D

aslo the AAT cup for Non Turbo VAG cars had all of one entry (2 if you include Robs half day)

if it wasnt for that golf 1.8t having made the trip to Jabba, i might have won the VAG group trophy too :)

Yeah, was most annoyed when that Polo turned up as I thought it'd be an easy win...;)

Yeah, you'd be able to leave it in 2nd then!

Actually...when you went for scrutineering, did you manage to rev the engine to 4.5k?

Yep... and sooted the scrutineer bigtime :D :blinker:

all i need now are some better tyres that have some sort of damp weather grip!

Mud tyres would also be useful... :D

Rob.

ESP = POOF .... Traction control is for people who cant drive etc etc..

and you think traction control would have improved my style... would have taken power steering and an LSD first any day.

wait till the beast is back

The TDI will easily rev to 4500RPM... the fact that there's sod all rev range above that means nothing. :D

I wish I'd been there to see that scrutineer get sooted. Sounds like the kind of thing you'd want to do to a traffic warden. "Yes, while you right that ticket, just stand here... [moving to back of car] - on second thoughts why don't you sit on the kerb?" BRRRRRRRRRRUUUMMMMMMMM! - "cough cough!"

Im not even sure if my car was smokin much on the track.. i suppose someone else who saw me go round care to comment further?.. could they tell the difference between diesel soot and tyre smoke :eyecrazy:

The difference would be the colour of the smoke - tyres is white, exhaust is black.

Didn't see any soot though!

There was far more tyre smoke than soot that's for sure!! You're pretty damn good on the handbrake :mw:

Glad everyone seems to have had fun :D

We'll use the 2/3rds maximum revs rule for diesels next time..... and we'll put the noise test about 200m away from TVRs and Scoobies.. ;) although I understand we were running to the 104db available limit as per Blue Book.

Points regarding tests noted, although the Blue Book does say you should get a minimum of 3 runs, dropping the lowest score. We'll see what else we can sort though.

Regarding inter-club/forum competition ~ seems like a good idea to me. Our results genius could sort the scores out, all that would need working out is who was against who. We might need a bit of help getting entries from all those you'd want to be up against though.....

Anyone object if one of our events next year was on short grass (no lumps and bumps though!) ~ we're nearly as keen to organise events as you seem to be on entering them :D

Anyone object if one of our events next year was on short grass

No objection at all... :D

Hehehehe... BRING ON THE 4X4s

now THAT would be good fun :D

Short grass?

Hell yeah!!! :ukliam: Wet grass sounds ideal!!

"How Sideways do you want to go today" :D

woo, thats going in my sig ;) :rainbow:

Can see it now - "Sir, I challenge thee to a duel!" (slaps Seat driver across face with Skoda stringback driving glove)

Anyone for Tuned VAG Top Trumps?

Like a Maybach! :D

If its on grass i'll bring the Moggy - the old skinny crossply remoulds are wicked for a bit of drifting (sorry no corner carvers here!).

Ill bring me wellies :D
