You have to go to your dealer for this. There's a process to go through. It's aimed as reducing theft of systems from cars as the radio is useless without that code as you know. You dealer will sort it for you.

There is no radio code in MK3 Fabia. The unit is part of the component protection system and it only needs coding when put in another car.

I'd hope "as above"  VW Group have used security in their systems for years!

What sifre says! I didn't digest the fact it was your own radio originally fitted to your car that you wanted to refit. Good luck!
