The Simpsons deal is £2490 deposit plus 23 months @ £169 = £6,377.

 

The Parks deal is £1,188 deposit plus 23 months @ £198 = £5,742.

 

Note that the Parks deal is 8,000 mils per annum, Simpsons is 10,000 miles.

No dealer would actually give me a lease (PCH) quote now that the order books have closed... 

 

You may have better luck with lease companies who have "bought" build slots and specs, but with a new model around the corner depreciation (which is effectively what you are paying for with a lease) is higher.

 

Work out the best deal you can find, then look at similarly specced Golfs / Audis to see what the costings are.

whilst the "normal" facelift cars may be out in Spring, i haven't seen anything about when a vRS version will be available.

When I went down the Vrs 230 route I asked the dealer about the new Octavia Vrs and he mentioned the end of 2017 or even a bit longer down the line or If ever.........................

The only downside to it yeah. I've found just using multiple windows helps, and one of the things that I've found is that often you can get a better deal alternating between either 24 or 36 months

Dealer in Salisbury yesterday said that details of the face lifted VRS will be out in January with the first cars delivered in March. I asked him if he expected a power upgrade and sadly he didn't. I hope he's wrong on this point as I'm planning on moving to a petrol VRS from a diesel one when my lease is up in June.

You never know, when I asked a salesman at a Skoda dealership in 2009 about the upcoming MkII FL change he stated that it was just a few cosmetic changes. I lost interest but saw aftewards that whilst the power output remained the same, the engine was different and the interior equipment changed a bit. If Skoda wants to continue to attract customers to the VRS Octavia after 3-4 years in production then a 230Bhp standard car would help. Just to indicate that it was an improvement or oerformance boost. The new front end doesn't look that great to me in the pictures.

Chaps, again - dealer salesmen don't have access to inside information. You're better off looking at specialist car websites, here is also a good source of info.

 

They  (salesmen) will mainly tell you what you want to hear.
