ITG Maxogen OR Pipercross - Air Filter Fitment (with this extra pipe)

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone know the implications of the extra air pipe circled in the photo if I was to change my air filter to Pipercross Or ITG Maxogen

It was added By Skoda as part of Breather & Oil Jet fixes. Would need to somehow connect this to one of the uprated filters. IE drill hole into?

I am looking at Pipercross as I think it fits better and loops more centrally (option 1)

ITG Maxogen is squashed round side of battery (option 2)

I have a free Dyno run next year after doing some mods in this thread, car achieved nearly 194BHP, these filters would get me to 200BHP

Tuning shop advised Dyno runs always better on Shell Nitro, I had Tesco Momentum in.

at least you go one you don't require a smaller battery on the ITG

The ITG must be bigger diameter pipe from the canister? I would prefer a smaller pipe that fits to the cold air intake? Thats what swayed me to the HFI one + the price.

Looks more OEM to me, anyway see what it Dyno runs at next year.
