Hi folks,

 

A pheasant recently hit my nearside headlight so the plastic is cracked and smashed.

 

Fortunately the lights still function perfectly.

 

I cannot for love nor money find a replacement, though. The unit is a 1Z2 941 015 G.

 

Two questions.

• Can anyone recommend anywhere to look other than eBay and a Skoda dealer?
• Is it possible to buy a different unit and get someone to replace just the plastic cover? Looks like its welded to the headlight unit though with no way of detaching.

I would advise checking with the seller that it's correct for your VIN but I think you should be OK.

 

The lens is very strongly attached, it'll need cutting off as it's not designed to be removed and the normal oven method doesn't soften the join much. I also doubt the lens is available separately so a replacement headlight is a better plan :)
