Are these issue of concern or can they be cured over time?  I have test driven it and all is good other than a rich petrol smell while idling.

They could be related, i'd probably solve the evap fault first either one of the two valves or a new canister likely required.  

 

If the trim problem remains and turns out to be a faulty injector or something that is a more significant and costly problem.
