You really need to have a VCDS scan done, as any fault code will be logged.

The only reason I noticed it not working was after switcing cluster for maxidot. Id been driving swmbo's yeti and seen that flashing as soon as it was locked and couldn't remember when the last time I saw it flash on the o2. I think I'm going to have to investigate the sensors are working as suggested by Mike earlier.

I know my interior sensors work as the kids set it off when they were left inside the car while i nipped in the shop.

I'm going to try something similar with the dog when I get back from europe as brought swmbos yeti. I suspect the same as you though, the sensors still work, just not the led. Must check fuse 35 though, just to make sure.

The button to turn of the sensors also works on mine and no faults when scanned either.

Im guessing the fl may be different somehow and thats why the hazard light switch flashes

Hmmm, still no wiser. With the dog in the car and alarm active, it goes off. Disable it and it doesn't (of course!) Fuse 35 good, but still no door flashy led anymore. Not a biggie, but damn anoying.

 The Hazard light should only flash when you lock/unlock the vehicle, as the Hazard lights flash to tell you the alarm is on or off, it should not flash all the time, thats why the door led is there.

I am not talking about the hazard lights themselves but the switch in the centre of the dash. It flashes in time with the door led

My hazard switch only flashes when i lock/unlock my car, not all the time unless it's another way of showing a fault in the system.

Mike, do you have a flashy door indication as well? Mine has, flashed brightly enough to notice during the day, but never noticed the hazard indicator switch illuminating in any way whatsoever. Any idea if the two are linked, electrically, i.e. series/parallel or separately?

Right, that suggests to me coding. Going to get vcds on the case this weekend and compare a fresh scan to an older one, also check with a scan from swmbos yeti and se if there's any similarities in the long coding.
