I take it it's quite easy to remove the wheel arch liners?

Steve

Very easy, you just leave them in place :D

STUPID COMMENT ALERT

So how to you get the nuts on the bolts?

My car is in Manchester with the wife so I am unable to pop out and have a look ;)

Steve

As Monkey Hanger says, you don't need to remove them. The bolts go through the wheel arch turrets which the liners fit around so it's not an issue.

Andy

Steve,

Pass the bolts up from below, and the nuts go on the engine bay side.

The 2 rear bolts are a little awkward, but i managed to get my hands in ok.

I hate to be such a dunce here but when fitting the lower brace when do you stop tightening those bolts - they have definitely deformed the mushroom nut and gripped really tight but I keep on turning - do they have a stop in there or will I strip the threads?

I did not even jack up the car - now that is what I call an easy mod!

 you must be like Mr Bean or have arms like a Gibbon. ;):D

Probably more of a Gibbon thing - used to be a tree surgeon, had to stop when my knuckles started reaching the ground!

No there is no stop - use your intuition, or as a suggestion do up to around 70 lbft. I didn't measure but I stopped when they felt nice and tight.

Excellent, thanks for that Nick.

Gonna see if I can get the top ones on tonight. Getting all excited about Sat now!!!
