Sportline Colour Choices

Featured Replies

Hi all

Im looking to lease a sportline soon and i had a quick look at the colour choices and quite frankley they are abysmal on the configurator. Are the colours being updated does anyone know if not the choice is pretty much limites to white, grey or black

I love Dragon Green, wish you could get it on the Octavia Vrs Range.

I think it looks awesome in business gray. I saw a few cars on this forum, sportline in business gray and I just love them.

yes the grey does look great but my last three cars have been grey and fancied a change. I think if they did a nice blue it would look awesome something like the audi scuba blue.

depends on the color palette made available to your country/market.

for example here in Australia, we basically get shades of grey, shades of white and black for the normal Superbs.

if we get a Sportline version, we then have red and dragon skin color choices too.

yeah im in the uk the red has dissapeared off the configurator at the moment.

I understand that a new red will be introduced soon. Maybe a little wait will be rewarding. :)

For Dragon Green read baby sick yellow. A horrible colour to me!

If I would've gone for the Sportline trim, it would definitely have been in Dragon Skin green or maybe, just maybe Corrida Red.

But since I didn't the choice was between Lava Blue and Magnetic Brown. In the end, Lava Blue (Petrol Blue) it was.

I got mine in Dragon Green because I did not want another grey car. In the flesh Dragon Green is an amazing colour.

I'm in the same predicament, as I'm looking at the sportline and the choice is 50 shades of grey.     I'm not a fan of it in red either, which leaves white, Black. shiny white or dragon skin green.  At the moment I like the black as it looks very understated, but also boring for the same reason, or flat white, a it's £550 less, it goes well with the black trims, and there is just something about it that I really like (although I have a white Octy vrs atm).

I'd be tempted with the dragon skin if it was not for a few things:

1: It's £820, if it was the same as other metallics, I'd be more temped.

2: My missus has just picked up an orange ford focus ST, and the two of them together would probably induce a headache, and make us the asbo family in our road.

3: I'm not convinced by photos as some look nice, and some don't.  I'd want to see it in the metal first.

If they gave the option of race blue like in the Octavia I'd probably be all over it, but they don't, so I'm not.

Superb looks good in white, but not sportline with black trims.  My opinion.

Black... I think YES... :)))

Have a look at this.

Depending on where in the country you are, you can see mine in the flesh.

Thanks, depending on the distance, I'll take you up on that.

I'm in Essex, about 30 mins from Dartford, so not too far from your neck of the woods.

Direct Message me. I am more than happy to come as far as North Kent, but you would need to come over the bridge to see it. Shame as I was in Essex last weekend...

Get the Dragon Green (acid yellow) and park it along side that orange Focus! Excellent! It would be like Christmas every day. Neighbours for miles around would be cruising by your place for the eye candy.

Joking aside...

The Dragon Green (as badly named as Business Grey) is a lovely colour (I've seen it). Bold, sure, but suits the Sportline. Black is beautiful, too. Usually for a whole ten minutes after you wash it. I owned a black car. Never again. And on the configurator today, you're down to one white, the free one. If you can't get with the yellow, that Business Grey with the anthracite wheels would look nice sitting next to your Focus. Like a "sleeper" sitting next to the boy racer.

You can tell by my choice, I like a strong colour. I'd be happy to own a yellow one.

We both agree on Race Blue, but it's not on offer. Shame. What can they be thinking? Škoda owners are afraid of colour?

I agree about the black as I used to own a black Octavia, but to me it gives the sportline a mean, purposeful look.

When I brought my current Octavia vrs I brought it in white before white was popular again.  It was not even an option through skoda uk so I had to order in red and put a colour change through.

Saying that the white superb looked sporty and subtle, the grey in not sure on.

Like most sportline owners, I looked at one elected up compared to a l&k, but preferred it even though the l&k easily makes more sense with the toys you get. I like it, but it's not what I want.

It's the same with the colours, I like the black, but i don't know if I want it.

Where the white looks smart enough to want

And in white. I prefer the white.

These were both 2nd hand ones at my local dealership.

On looks alone, I'd have to go with the black. Looks very smart – I like the alloys with the black. The Sportline is a big car and looks huge in white.

IMHO ;)

When I had the same dilemma when choosing a colour for the sport line , I used the following reasoning:

Black & Dragon Skin: For me only on a 280, it would be a choice between sleeper or loud and proud.

I chose sport line as much for the appearance as for the sports interior/lower suspension etc. and the darker colours hide the differences between sport line and other trims. In the flesh there is a quartz grey sport line local to me and despite the hours looking at pics, I had to get fairly close to identify it as a sport line (it was dirty though and not a very sunny day). Seeing the colours in the flesh makes such a difference and I think particularly so with the sport line due to the cosmetic details.

In the end it was down to Moon White or Business Grey, I had discounted the silver on personal taste and could not get sufficient photos of the superb in velvet red.

When the dealer told me that they have never brought in a moon white sport line but had brought in quite a few business grey, that made my decision - moon white it had to be.

I have not received the car yet so I cannot tell you if I'm happy with my choice but I certainly expect to be.

I opted for the Quartz Grey. Looks pretty smart

My wife likes white so it was simple for us when we bought hers. I was concerned that the spoiler would look silly but all the sportsline black extras look great against the Moon White.

Hopefully the colours will be revised when a facelift arrives for the Superb.

I saw a business grey estate sportline today, and it looked really nice.  I'm not sure about what it would look like on the hatchback though.  Looking at the other colours in estate, I think the estate looks nicer than the hatch in most of them.

@hpoom I dm'd you yeterday about meeting up, as I cannot see a sent box on my messages, I don't know if I actually did send it.

I would like to see a dragon skin car before it's too late, as put the order in for one earlier on and if I don't like it I want to be able to change to colour, but it is growing on me in photos.
