And sounds great, bet your glad to get it back.

Yeah its great and the map is amazing, on the way home the sat nav took me up the A686 which had hairpin hills and in 2nd flooring it the traction control didnt come on once.

ADE have been fantastic throughout and really would recommend them to anyone. Sometimes you do need to travel to get the best and by god is it worth it.

Would happily drive down to them again for anymore work.

Had the car a week now.

ADE have really have hit it out the park with this. Car is so much easy to drive compared to standard and stage 1. More so on the motorway cruising at 70mph and you go to overtake with the 340ft lbs it just takes off and builds up so effortlessly. 90ish now feels like 60 and also strangely enough fuel economy has got better, Used to get 46-48mpg on the way to work now i get 54-56mpg.

Built by Richard Hutchinson ( @hutchysrs50 ) from Modified Lights UK who was the one who put this idea in my head then put it into action who i can't thank enough. Kev Hunter Garage Newcastle for getting letting us use the ramp and getting stuck in themselves and ADE Tuning for making it all happen and keeping my feet on the ground when i was having daft ideas.

First time out will be at Crail on sunday hopefully will get some good competitive times.

Finally got its war paint on.

Went up to Crail for German Invasion yesterday. Plan was to take the up to 1600 diesel record. On the drive up when flooring it in 2nd and changing into 3rd coming off the clutch and flooring it i noticed the clutch started to slip in 3rd for half a second before it would grip together and go.

Previously launching it was a case of holding the revs at 3000 then dumping the clutch and it used to just go off the line. Now with another 100ft lbs of torque that isn't happening anymore. All i got was wheel spin then again changing from 2nd to 3rd it would slip a little before sorting itself out.

Strangely enough later on in the day it stopped doing it (any reasons for this?) and times started to come down.

Sitting in the queue for another race my mate Darren who was up with his Monte Carlo came up to me and said the officials were looking for me and that i had made it into the top 5 shoot out for up to 1600cc cars which turned into a top 4 as the fifth car was a fiesta (should have been german cars only).

Drew Darren in the first shoot out and managed to beat him, went back to the coned off area for the final to find i was paired up with a supercharged methanol injection nitrous'd mini cooper s , i guess you can work out how that went although coming 2nd i was pretty pleased with that with a time of 15.49.

Still time in the car problem is me having to relearn the car and how to launch it, 60ft was down from 2.2 that i was getting on the stage 1 to 2.4

Next event out is VAG Tuner at Donington Park with the car out on track at it, can't wait to drive Donington.

Looks like you had a successful outing, surely being nitro it was in a different sub group of upto 1600cc therefore you were first. It unfair to have nitro vs turbo/ natural aspiratred.

You would win a street legal race as yours is

The mini was a street car the guy drives it to the track and home and is an amazing piece of kit.

Only did 3 runs though 1 to qualify, the semi final then the final against me :D

Had a little look over the data as i noticed that on the stage 1 map i had a couple of 2.2 60ft's so wanted to work out where i was losing the time but then looking over the logs it looked like it was just a couple of lucky launches where as most of the 60fts are now in the 2.3's whereas before it was mainly 2.4.

Red is  150bhp/253ft lbs
Blue is 195bhp/340ft lbs

1st gear pretty much identical, slight difference in 2nd but then 3rd and 4th you really notice power the difference as it starts to get into its stride. Short shifter doesn't seem to have made any difference in gear change times

Next run out will be Donington Park on the 8th July got my eye on a set of 17 inch track tyres so hopefully when payday comes next week i can get them so i dont wreck my road tyres.
