Around may time hopefully. The car’s 5 years old this year so will need the cambelt and waterpump doing and a few people have suggested changing the clutch while the box is out too.

Similar to my mod in that I went for a clutch (LuK from EuroCarts with life time warranty ) replacement when fitting the LSD. As well as having the timing tensioner replaced. Except that I've not done the water pump as it's not showing any problems. Mines 8 year old in Feb, so not expecting any more large bills for at least 7 years, and for the MOT also due in Feb.

Not sure if my car would be covered under their life time warranty :D

half tempted to put in another standard clutch again since the current one seems to be coping ok but i guess we will see when the box comes off

Sachs SRE paddle clutch :D I loved mine in my MK1.

And I also loved my wavetrac. Good choice.

Don't think you can get a paddle clutch for my gearbox.

That link came from here where there are other Sachs 1.6 TDI clutches to choose from

https://www.sachsperformance.com/en/clutch-kit/performance-clutch-sachs/skoda-fabia/1-6-tdi-77kw

And europarts

https://www.eurocarparts.com/clutch-kit

I think that Valeo /LuK also are originals for Skoda.

Originals are sach's  part number 03L141032AX

wonder how driveable the paddle clutch would be for a daily.

I used to commute 140miles a day in mine :D. It's juddery when it's bedding in but after that I found it perfectly fine. Pedal was heavy but you get used to that after a few days.

The clutch on mine is pretty heavy already. Always annoying when you get into a car with a light clutch and think it’s broke :D

One thing that always bugged me was that my car had red seats but didn't have the red stitching on the gear stick or handbrake but with superskoda's 20% sale thats changed now

i remember it was @Richard92 last night :D

Car seems to know its pay day, full set of Pilot Sport 4's all round, I loved my Conti's but once they get below 3mm they really do struggle for traction and grip so gonna give these a go.

£318 for the set
