VCDS side mirror adaptations

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

i am trying for some time now to make an adaptation in VCDS for the electric side mirrors in order to fold when i close the doors from the remote.

Like it's standard in octavia mk3.

did anyone of you tried this? do you have a solution?

thanks,

florin

For me it works only when I long press remote 2nd time - 1st long press closes windows only.

Thanks for answering Jafo. Fot me this works also but i wqas trying to automatize it :)

Not possible with VCDS.

However on a 2010 Audi TT you can add a relay and a wiring loom between both doors to make this possible... however you will get fault codes as a couple of wires need cutting in the door controllers.

Agreed, its a pain that it can't be set to fold when you lock the door. I resort to turning the mirror switch on the driver's door before I get out.

If your windows are up then they fold on first press (long, three seconds).

On the Octavia III this is included (as far as i know as standard for cars with electric mirrors).

Is it possible to copy some of the coding from Octavia III and adapt it to Superb II?

I have an Octavia III available and i can copy the coding from it.

Florin

The Octavia III (and Superb III) are both based on a totally different platform (MQB) which is why there is no coding on the MKII Superb to do this.
