Not having much luck with this, does nobody have this facility apart from windows phone users?

Not on a Columbus but my Admunsun Unit in my 230 reads out texts from my iphone so it must be possible.

Which head unit is in the current model year vrs, as mine reads them off my xperia Z5. Which won't share the contact telephones bizarrely. 

My Samsung S7 does this for me with the older pre MIB Columbus. 

thank you. I have established there is an app on the motorla which works with the older pre mib Columbus.

I think what you need is "Android Auto" app. if its available is UK/Europe...
