Faulty Drains for Panoramic Sun Roof

Featured Replies

Hi

After my 12 plate estate filled up with water was told the Panoramic Sunroof drains were blocked and needed replacing + the crimped AC drain hose needed same.

This is a significant ****ache in itself but water has also knocked out passenger side airbag and heated front seats.

The repair bill is becoming ridiculous as a result of a design fault.

  • anyone experienced similar?
  • have flagged with SKODA UK - do they acre, will they do anything to help

Any/all advice/sympathy welcomed.

Usually they can just be unblocked, using a strong wire cable. This is even Skoda's recommended repair for the problem. There was a design change at some point which repositioned the outlet from those drains but I can't recall offhand when it happened. It moved the drain from the wheelarch to the boot opening.

There was a good write up on the Yeti section which basically applied to all with Pan roof but all the pics are gone from it.

Look here  I used it to clean mine out as preventive maintenance:cool:
