Exhaust finishers on bumper

Featured Replies

Hi I’ve got a 2014 Octavia vrs deisal and put a miltec dual exhaust straight put system on it other month. Never had any hassle off it till put the tips on other day. Removed the finishers on the bumper to fit tips. The car done a re gen last night and the heat melted Both side of the bumper. I left the Crome finishers off the bumper. Noticed one is plastic and other was metal were original exhaust was sided. Any ideas were could get a metal bit for drivers side

Exhaust been on for few weeks now. Last night i was parked up and could hear it doing a re gen. only put tips on other day. It’s a miltec straight threw system twin exit. Thinking might have to sleeve the exhaust and extend it a bit so tips are further out

I thought only the DPF got savagely hot during regen, surprised if the tips do?

Could it be just 'normal' heat?

The miltek and cobra units get bloody if stainless kiss the plastic valance goodbye    or get some heat shielding .I burnt my leg on mine fitted to a leon Fr !

I’ve got another black part of a bumper sitting. Might need to extend the exhaust mounts lower from the body than they are at the moment to move tips down a few cm and maybe sleve the exhaust so tips sit further out
