Remote key sensor

Featured Replies

My 2006 Octavia 1.9 Tdi remote key has developed a problem. One of the keys stopped functioning. The remote fails to lock/unlock the car. Opened it up and found the glass sensor inside the key was broken. Any suggestions to fix it?

Assuming you mean the transponder, you'll need a new one and the immobiliser programming to accept it.

Yup, so as I mentioned previously, you'll need a new transponder and to get the car's immobiliser programmed to accept it.

A decent auto locksmith should be able to do it for you :)
