I have been offered a set of Elbrus 18” alloys with tyres for a good price, does anyone know if these will fit the octavia or will the tyre depth be too much?

Tyre size looks like 235/55/R18

 

Ive got the 16” wheels and would like the 18” Gemini but these have come up at a price that is too good to miss. 

Those wheels (tyres) are way to big for the Octavia. Standard is 225/40-18

 

As norsko says, tyres are no good to you, you need 40 profile, also not sure what offset the Kodiak uses but may not be the same as the Octy, if it is it may still be a good deal as you could always sell the tyres on?

Would these rims be able to take the lower profile tyres?

Wheels will fit fine - 100%. They'll likely be 18 x 8 but could be 18 x 7.5, either will be fine.

 

You'll need 225/40/18 tyres, or you could go to 235/40/18 within acceptable tolerances.

Elbrus alloys are 7x18, ET 43. They will fit Octavia nicely with 225/40R18 tyres on.
