FOR SALE Red Fabia VRS mkI 2006 (56 plate)

Featured Replies

Reluctant sale of the best car I have ever owned.  Bought in 2008 as ex-demonstrator from main dealers with 4099 miles on the clock.     Now at approx 185,300 mostly motorway-miles.  Generally very good condition for its age, its never been modified, abused or crashed. It has been serviced and maintained by main dealers and reputable independents.  Lots of new parts as detailed below. VRS floor mats in good condition.  Both keys and manuals present.

MoT to November 2018.

Recent work includes:

New alternator and crankshaft sensor (Jan 2018)

4 new Barum Bravuris tyres (Nov 2017)

4 new glow plugs (Nov 2017)

New accelerator pedal (April 2017)

New nsf droplink (March 2017)

New rear brake callipers, pads and discs (genuine OEM green callipers)

New front pads and discs

New osf hub and bearing (all Jan 2017)

Last serviced August 2017 at 180,414 miles

Alloys stripped and recoated by The Wheel Specialist

I have a folder full of receipts, guarantees, old MoTs etc.

Niggles

This is an 11 year old car so it is not perfect – here are the issues I am aware of:

The front number plate is damaged where someone with a towbar rolled back but only cosmetic (it gets mentioned on MoT advisories)

Front windscreen chipped but repaired (approx 2009)

Some stone chips to bonnet but no rust

A bit of rust bubbling under the off side rear window trim

Some small paintwork scratches etc consistent with age and general use

Passenger air vent  louvres  not moving with the control wheel

Upholstery needs cleaning. Some wear but no holes, tears or rips

Driver’s door seal worn through in places

One “line” of heated rear screen not working

Cam belt will want changing in 15,000 mls

The reason I am selling is that I recently snapped up a good deal on a Yeti (more practical for my present needs).  I had intended keeping the VRS as a second car but the combined insurance is too much, hence a reluctant sale.

Asking £1,200 firm for a quick sale.  The car is located in Worcestershire near Bromsgrove, but I am frequently in Walsall so you could arrange to view there if that helps.  Test drives only on production of valid fully comp cover.
